It takes more than a new mattress and top-quality sheets and blankets to make it really comfy, but it does not have to cost a small fortune. Begin with a Memory Foam Pad

I could not afford a memory foam mattress to make my little girl's bed more comfortable, but I was able to buy a four-inch thick memory foam pad. They are available in various thicknesses, and they can make the most uncomfortable bed feel like a cloud. She loved the new memory foam pad, and I was able to extend the life of her existing mattress instead of investing in a new one.

Consider Soft T-Shirt Material Sheets

If sheets are rough and scratchy a bed is anything but comfortable. When trying to make a little girl's bed feel more comfortable it is important to buy soft comfy sheets instead of the cheap and scratchy lower thread-count variety. Sheets can be cheap in price, but they should never feel like sandpaper. I could not afford Egyptian cotton sheets, but I could afford sheets made with t-shirt material. They were just as affordable as the lower quality scratchy kind, but they were much softer. They are my little girl's favorite sheets because they are as comfy as a favorite well-worn t-shirt.
