Facial Scrubs
Whether you sweat on your back or underneath your arms, one of the first things that you may want to think about doing is using facial scrub on the area where you sweat. This will often provide complete relief to those who experience excessive sweating problems, so it is probably one of the first methods that you may want to try. The reason that it works so well is because it exfoliates the skin, which will ultimately help unclog your pores. Due to this, you may experience more sweating at first. However, after all of the toxins which may have been trapped inside your pores are released, you will be likely to notice that how frequently and how much you sweat will reduce. It is important to keep in mind that you should not use facial scrub any more than three times a week.
Corn Starch or Baby Powder
It is a well known fact that baby powder can help assist you with your sweating problem. Corn starch works much the same way that baby powder does. The way that both corn starch and baby powder works to help with a sweat problem is by absorbing the sweat. While it may not necessarily stop you from sweating, it is a great way to control this very common problem. You can use corn starch or baby powder on pretty much any area of your body that you experience a lot of sweating from, whether it be your underarms, your back or any place else.
Turnip Juice
Turnip juice is known to be very effective for reducing excessive sweat. The way that it works is by reducing the amount of activity that goes on inside the sweat glands. The main thing that you are probably wondering is how to get natural turnip juice. The concept is quite easy - all that you need to do is grate the turnip up and squeeze it. Then, apply it underneath your armpits, or wherever else it is that you have been sweating. Some people find that it is also effective to drink turnip juice, but the preference is all yours.
Sage Tea
A method which is not well known, but is known to be very effective by those who have tried it, is sage tea. The way that it works is the same way that turnip juice works, by reducing the amount of activity that goes on inside the sweat glands. All that you need to do in order to take advantage of the sweat reducing benefits of sage tea is drink one to two cups every day.
Baking Soda
Baking soda is known to work much the same way that corn starch or baby powder would, by absorbing the sweat. It is also believed that it may help by unclogging your skin's pores, which will eventually help your body release all of the toxins that may be trapped inside the pores. It is important to make sure that you do not overuse baking soda, as doing so may be bad for the skin. Only using it once to twice a week is probably your best option.
Dietary Changes
Although you may not realize it, chances are that certain foods that you are eating may be the main reason that you sweat excessively. There are certain foods which are known to be "sweat foods," or in other words, foods that can cause you to sweat excessively. Some of the most well known sweat foods include garlic, onions, spices, and caffeine. While eating foods that are high in water content, such as fruits and vegetables, may not necessarily reduce perspiration, they may help you reduce the awful body odor that is often experience when you do sweat excessively.
Lemon Juice
All that you need to do is apply lemon juice to the area which sweats excessively, whether it is from the actual fruit or from a bottle of pre-squeezed lemon juice. This method is typically used for those who cannot seem to eliminate the body odor that is associated with excessive sweating. The reason that it is believed to work so well is because the acid found in lemon juice is known to kill the odor. Lemon juice is not, however, known to end a sweating problem.
Zinc
Much like lemon juice, zinc works to provide relief to the body odor that you may be experiencing due to your excessive sweat. All that you need to do in order to take advantage of the odor relieving benefits that zinc has to offer is take it once a day, in pill form. Be sure to talk to your doctor before taking zinc and read the instructions on the back of the bottle, as you would when taking any type of supplement.
Colon Cleanse
This may be one of the last things that you want to do if you are trying to figure out a way to reduce or control how much you sweat. While there is not a whole lot of significant evidence to support this, many claim that a colon cleanse helps reduce how much they sweat. Others feel that colon cleansing can help eliminate the body odor associated with excessive sweat. If all else has failed, perhaps colon cleansing is worth a try.
