These ideas can be used whether you're celebrating graduation from preschool, high school or even college.
Ways to preserve and/or display your cap & tassel.
1. For a fee you can take the cap and tassel to a local bridal shop. They will be able to preserve it for you in a box where it will last for years to come. Often these boxes have an open front so that you can view or display your cap and tassel.
2. Buy a plastic or glass sports memorabilia storage box and place the cap and tassel inside. This will be sure to keep it dust free and you'll be able to display it proudly for years to come.
3. Get a shadow-box frame and place the cap and tassel inside along with one of your graduation announcements. Arrange them at an angle and display them with pride.
4. Take your diploma as well as the cap and tassel, put all three in a glass box with a mirror on the bottom and put them on display in your home or office.
5. Get a glass top for your coffee table or end table and put your cap and tassel under the glass top, you can buy spacers to allow for the thickness of the cap and tassel so that the top will lie flat.
6. Buy a designer storage box in your school colors and put the cap and tassel inside along with a few other pieces of memorabilia from graduation. Then write a letter to yourself of your goals and dreams for the next 5 or 10 years. Seal the box and store it away as a time capsule to be opened years later.
7. For a more fun way to display them go buy a 24-pack of your favorite beverage and cut out the largest side of the box, attach your cap and tassel to the cardboard cut out and then frame them to hang in your dorm room.
8. For a more functional use and way to display them you can put your cap upside down on the bathroom sink and put cotton balls or q-tips inside. Then you can hang the tassel on the shower curtain and use it to pull the curtain back and forth.
9. You can make a clock out of the top of your hat, buy a clock kit and install it in the center (take out the center plug in the top of your hat). It will make a very nice and trendy square clock, then you can hang the tassel in the middle as long as it wouldn't be so thick that it would block the clock hands from moving.
10. Use both to display on your favorite stuffed animal from childhood.
Whatever idea you choose, you're sure to enjoy your cap and tassel more than if they were just throw in a closet somewhere, never to be thought of again.
