First, you need to invest in a good gas mileage vehicle. I own a Volkswagen New Beetle and the gas mileage is awesome in this car. My husband and I went on our honey moon from Hammondsville Ohio to Lusby Maryland on a half a tank of gas. From Ohio to Maryland is 354 miles and we only used a half a tank of gas to get there. That is pretty good to me.

Second, you need to do all your running after work so you do not have to make another trip and waste gas. Me and my husband do this all the time and I tell you what, it is a very good idea to do because usually he would come home from work and then I would have to go do all the running. This way it takes care of everything in one shot and not having to go anywhere after the vehicle is parked in the driveway.

Third, try to limit your running time than normal. Whatever you can cut out from doing, cut it out of your daily habit. You will be surprised at how much gas you actually save in the long run. Believe me I am doing it right now.

Basically anything you do not need to go and do don't go and do it. It takes an awful lot of gas these days to even go into town for things you need. With gas prices at almost $4.50 a gallon. Do the things you need to do all at once so you do not have to go back into the car and make a second trip in one day. Gas is not going to get any cheaper and that is just the simple fact. So do all you can to save as much money and gas as you can.

Everybody is suffering from this very big crunch in gas and all we can do about it is try to live with it and make important decisions to help save from spending all your money into gas.
