Ways to Say I Love You for Valentine's Day

Ms. Marie
Do you remember the first time you and your sweetheart shared a Valentine's Day together? It had all the ingredients for love, and picking the right box of chocolates came easy. The next year those long stem roses kept her smiling for weeks on end. But what happens when you are faced with the fifth or tenth Valentine's day? Suddenly finding ways to say I love you for Valentines day is not so easy.

Year after year of getting the same old card, flowers, and heart shaped box of chocolates does get boring; women are emotional beings, and because of this they need to know that you are not just going through the motions. Mixing things up a bit can make a man feel good too.

And don't forget that we celebrate valentines day differently than they did way back in the Roman days when it was a day for couples only. Today, we show our love for our mother, father, grandparents, children, anyone that we want to remind that we love and care for them. This truly makes it a day of expressing love. Truthfully, in this day and age we need to start showing love more often.

If it's your first Valentine's day with your sweetheart, a box of chocolate, a well versed card, and even one long stem rose will say I love you a million times over. When love is new and fresh, you walk on air when you are with your loved one, and any gifts exchanged or gestures of love will make your hearts flutter with pure joy.

However, for couples that have shared many a Valentine's Days together it may be time to try something different. Any gift can express how much you care especially when you choose something that your sweetie needs or really wants. Pick a gift, then add some chocolate treats, a hand written poem, or card that says what's in your heart, gift wrap it all, and tie it up with a nice red bow. On valentines day your loved one will be over-whelmed with joy. Why? Because it's the thought that counts!

Truthfully, women love the flowers and anticipate the chocolates, but that is only appreciated until it becomes an almost robotic part of the relationship; add a little something extra to keep the love alive.

Let's say your man loves golf, and there is one particular golf club that he has been longing for; what do you think he'd feel if on valentines day a new golf club with a bright red bow, and small poem attached to it was waiting for him by his favorite chair.

Or suppose your woman works at home, and sits at her desk for hours on a very uncomfortable chair; imagine how she'd feel if she went to her desk on valentines day and found a new office chair with a box of chocolates there instead of that old rickety chair. Any gift can be exchanged and used to say I love you, all you have to do is add the finishing touches.

Gentlemen change it up a little, and ladies don't forget him on Valentine's day. Showing love and affection is something that should be shared. Do you need a little help finding gift ideas or ways to say I love you for Valentine's Day? You're not alone. Find some great gift ideas for valentines day, that are sure to get your creative juices flowing.
