Ways to Show Your Girlfriend You Appreciate Her

Is your girlfriend complaining that you don't appreciate all that she does for you? Has she told you that she wants to feel more loved? Maybe you think that she is just nagging, but most men don't understand that women aren't as straightforward as men. A quick kiss on the cheek as you run out for work with the packed lunch she made you is not going to cut it. Women need a little more than that and you might be surprised at just how easy it is to show your girlfriend she is appreciated. If you need to score some brownie points - read on for tips on ways to show your girlfriend you appreciate her.

Ways To Show Your Girlfriend You Appreciate Her

Cook/clean for her

If you are the kind of man who never does anything around the house, it's time to change. Wait until she is at work, or out shopping and take the time to give the house a clean. Firstly, it will show you just how much work she has to do and secondly, it will show her that you don't see her as an unpaid slave. A relationship is supposed to be equal, and as such you should do your fair share of the work. If you are really against the idea of cleaning, why not cook her a meal? Even if you aren't a brilliant cook, it doesn't take much to rustle up something simple. If you must resort to buying her a takeaway, go to the efforts of treating her to something she loves and make it romantic!

Thank her

Of all ways to show your girlfriend you appreciate her, this is one of the most simple. When she does something nice for you, say thank you. Don't just grab your freshly ironed work shirt and leave, give thanks that she didn't tell you to do it yourself. It takes less than five seconds to utter those important words, and they really go a long way.

Leave her a romantic note

It might not be in your nature as a man to be soppy and romantic, but it is really worth making the effort if your girlfriend doesn't feel as if you appreciate her. This is just as simple as saying thank you, but it will be extra special because it was unexpected. Instead of leaving nothing but mess in the kitchen after breakfast, leave a note on the fridge telling her you love her. This will instantly guarantee you will be greeted by a much happier lady when you get home!

Tell her

It doesn't get any easier than this! If you want to show your girlfriend you appreciate her, sit her down and tell her. Don't let it get to the stage where she feels she is doing everything for you and getting nothing in return. Let her know you appreciate her by telling her outright.

It really is that easy. If you are looking for ways to show your girlfriend you appreciate her, think of the simple things. Most women don't need anything extravagant to feel as though you care, just a basic level of understanding of everything they do and the occasional "thank you".

Good advice. We must tell each other we love each other 20 times a day, plus I often open the car door for my wife, do my share of the washing and cleaning etc. We both are aware that it's good to help each other, and to look after each other, and neither of us takes advantage, so it's never a chore to help.

Very true. Some guys just don't understand how these little things say so much.

The most well-received thing I've ever given a woman was a book of coupons to be used at the time and place of her choosing. Coupons for chores, massages, sex, dirty jobs, car washes, home-cooked meals, a day of pampering, and a few with you fill in the blank. This book went over better than jewelry, a night out, a vacation, and a lot of other less personal gifts.
