Prepare as much as you can the night before. My family has pie, breads and snacks at Thanksgiving. I have found that if I make all of the pies and bread the night before, my time isn't as pressed. If you make your pies and breads ahead of time, all you have to do is warm them up. Put them in the oven for a bit just so that they can get warm. It's less hassle for the actually day of Thanksgiving. We also have a snack try with cracker, cheese, pepperoni and pickles. Small appetizers I guess. If you separate of all this the night before and put then in a container this can help to save you a bit of time on Thanksgiving day.
Make sure you have everything you need. Go through what you have for your meal a few days before, purchase everything you are missing, Then again the day before Thanksgiving go through what you have. If you are missing anything make sure you get it then. So on Thanksgiving you won't have to be worried about finding a store that's open to purchase something you forgot. This will also make Thanksgiving easier on you.
Make sure you've gotten enough sleep. Everyone knows how much work is to be done on Thanksgiving. If your not fully rested, its going to be much harder for you to get started. We all know that every minute counts when preparing such a large feast. If you've gotten enough rest, you should be able to get going sooner which will make things easier, especially if your on a time limit. Therefore Making Thanksgiving much easier.
Take time to relax. If your aren't relaxing and staying clam you are bound to get frustrated and angry more. Which will definitely make Thanksgiving harder then it needs to be. Stay calm and enjoy yourself. If things start to go wrong take a breather and get a snack. Staying clam and enjoying yourself and your family is what this holiday is all about. If you can manage to keep yourself calm and enjoy yourself, your Thanksgiving will go much easier.
