Way-Ya-Say Kid

Batter Chatter

Mr. Chip's
My Pop's use to say "Way- Ya- Say Kid, Way-Ya-Say Kid"

Nothing is worse then to be at bat

Feeling the pressure to swing

When being rattled by so much "batter chatter"

As if it were the staccato of a machine gun

ball-players and fans alike just a chattering

You even might hear the classics

Batter wants a drink of water

Batter my Mother hits better than you

Batter hey batter your no batter

And in the time I played ball so many more

You clutch the throat of the bat tight

The pitcher hurls the base-ball

You wait for it to cross the strike zone

Then all falls apart and your concentration is broken

When into your ears

Way-Say-Kid,Way-Say-Kid reverberates

You take a hard swing

And the Umpire bellows

Your Out
