WBGU PBS TV Cooks

Bubba & Marty Score

Bubba
It started out like most sunny Fall Saturdays. Today would be a bit different, I felt like a kid on Christmas Morning. Today I would appear on WBGU PBS TV Cooking Fund-raiser. I have submitted recipes before but this year was a bit different. WBGU PBS TV wanted me to demonstrate one of my recipes. This would be the experience of a lifetime for me.

I made one plate of Bubba's Balls at home for display on screen and measured all the ingredients for a second batch to assemble on WBGU PBS TV Cooks. The Queen Goddess was my transportation engineer and home facilitator. We gathered all the necessary ingredients to make "Bubba's Balls" aka "Different Deviled Eggs" (see the recipe @ http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/436062/how_to_make_different_deviled_eggs.html?cat=12 ) We arrived a little early and circled the building several times not knowing which door to use. Finally the Queen Goddess got out of the car and went inside to ask. She returned to the car followed by three young gals to help me and her move the ingredients to the "Green Room".

The folks at WBGU PBS TV treated us like royalty. We were brought coffee and fully instructed on our role in today's program including approximate time we would be on air. (it was a live program) Julia was my personal facilitator. Julia a fine young facilitator carried my goodies to the broadcast area and set up for me on the stage. All the activity was very interesting. These young men and women were focused and yet very polite and kind to me.

One of our appreciation gifts was a bright red apron. I wore this on screen and with my size it was an enhancement beyond my expectations. WBGU PBS Cooks got a little extra screen time on my broad chest. We received several other appreciation gifts that I will treasure for many years to come.

Marty was the host for the program just as he has been for the previous 16 programs. I have watched Marty on WBGU PBS many times. I know of Marty's love of Garlic and Chocolate so worked that into my banter with him. The MC folks even commented "Marty and Bubba should begin their own cooking show."

Julia, my facilitator, also helped remove all my stuff from the set and washed everything up so I had only clean dishes to bring home. Julia is a great asset to WBGU PBS TV. In fact all the facilitators on this day were wonderful. I even got a hug from one gal with the remark "Those Egg Balls are great." All the crew and volunteers devour the recipes that are prepared on the program at WBGU PBS TV.

The ride home was unique. I was flying so high I didn't need a vehicle. The Queen Goddess was impressed with my performance @ WBGU PBS TV Cooks and continued to shower me with praise. The Queen Goddess only had one complaint...She didn't get any of Bubba's Balls to eat. I guess I'll have to make her some for supper.

In closing I must send a big Thank You to WBGU PBS TV for the opportunity to share my recipes. Mizpah.
