Tomorrowland: Astro Orbiter, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, Stitch's Great Escape!, Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.
For those of you who have been to Disneyland and ridden the Autopia I would forget the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway. This is a lesser version of the Disneyland Autopia. Not as fast, or scenic and the ride vehicles look terrible. If you have never ridden this attraction then I would give it a try.
The only reason I am not impressed is because there is a much better version of this attraction in California. The ride is for all ages and any time of day or night. The ride is made to simulate driving a motor vehicle, and the greatest draw is for kids who can't drive yet but want to.
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority or TTA is one of the best hidden attractions in my book. This is a very long run through of most of Tomorrowland, going through Space Mountain, and around the rest of the land. Some of the coolest sights can be seen on this attraction. You board a ride vehicle that can hold about eight people, four people in each of the two cars. The cars go along a track circling all of Tomorrowland at a medium speed. This is a very relaxing and little wait time attraction. All ages can ride this, and there is never a line to take a nice break off your feet and look down over Tomorrowland.
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is a seasonal attraction, or so it says on the brochure. However when we go to the parks it seems to be open. It has been a while since we have visited the park so it might be closed. If you are able to watch this show I will say you will be pleased.
This is one of Walt's original attractions, one of the few still in operation. It is not the original version, but it is very close to it. The show room rotates around to show the advancements of technology from the past to the future. The characters are fun and funny. This show is appropriate for all ages and is usually not very busy. The show has a very comfortable theater seating system, so it is a great rest off the feet during a hot day.
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is the new kid on the block. This show combines the technology from Turtle Talk with Crush and cell phone text messaging. How can this possibly work you might think. Well the show is about stand up comedy, clean comedy for once. So the whole family can attend this laughfest.
But the comic will interact with the guests in the theater. And you will be able to send in your favorite joke with a text message, and it might even be read during the show. How it all works I can't tell you, but this show is supposed to be very good. I have not yet seen this show so I cannot say more than what I have heard or read. But from what I have seen this show is worth seeing once during any trip to Disney World.
