We Can Become One with the Universe

Under the word universe we can mean God, Higher Power or something that created this world and its laws. I like to use word "universe" because of its neutrality. You can substitute this word with anything you like. If you don't believe in higher power then use the words like "life", "world" etc.

Our disbelief in higher power may be explained by two reasons.

First of all it is atheistic environment. There is nothing wrong with atheism. It has only one flaw. It cuts off the way for exploring the unknown that cannot be touched and measured by our senses and external devices. On the other hand it has a major advantage. Atheists can come to realization of higher power consciously and not because they are brought up in the religious environment where they have to believe in God.

The second reason has its roots in our childhood. We must examine our relationship with our parents. Usually people remember only positive things from their childhood. However after some work with our masks it is possible to find the root cause of our limiting beliefs.

In childhood all people went thorough situations when they were denied attention, when their efforts were not appreciated, when they were punished etc.

Every single one of us had negative experiences in the past and formed negative beliefs. On the surface we tend to hold only positive memories. We hide our negative memories deep in our subconscious mind. Our memory and desire to forget all the negative moments of our life can play tricks on us.

Due to social conditioning God is considered as an authority figure who can punish us for our sins.

Ask yourself the following questions: "Who punished you more often when you were a child?" "Who were you afraid the most?" On subconscious level authority figure and image of God are related. That forms our attitude towards God, Universe, Higher Power.

If the authority figure was our father then we need to explore our relationship with him. We need to forgive him and allow him to enter our life.

If that authority figure was our mother then we could form denial of the feminine aspect of the nature and as a consequence we could deny the feminine aspect of ourselves.

What needs to be understood is that our parents did everything they could. Thy brought us up as they were brought up. They couldn't jump over their head and give us what they didn't have. They loved us the way they were loved. They didn't know any other way to do it. They express their love the same way their parents did. They copied their parents and we copy ours. Ask yourself if you love your parents. The answer will be positive of course. Your parents sincerely love you the same way as you love them. If we could understand it and forgive them then many things in our life will change.

The third step we can take to understand our relationship the Universe is to pay attention to the processes that are taking place in our body. Our organism does its best to keep the normal functioning of every cell. The same way we are cells of the Universe. That's the reason why Universe supports us at any moment. If anything is going wrong in life we need to become aware of the way we are denying help coming from Universe and not letting it into our life.
