We Are Being Deceived

Today God spoke to me so much from Ephesians 6 about who we wrestle against. I listened to Kris Valloton ( krisvallottonministries.com) and God showed me through Him how we don't just wrestle against flesh and blood meaning other people , but also we don't wrestle against ourselves. Satan comes and lies to us, condemns us, attacks our families, make us fail and then we blame ourselves when actually our wrestle is not against OURSELVES or our husbands, daughters, mother-in-laws, etc, but Satan himself. We fight against demons. You think it is you the problem or your husband. No! It is Satan himself ! How can we win the battle if we are not even engaging the right enemy? He wants us distracted with ourselves or other people so we don't have to fight him. He wants you be mad at your husband so you will forget that its him you need to fight. It is him coming against your marriage and against your children.

Yes, you are responsible when you give in to satan and obey him and not God.

How do we fight the enemy? The Bible says in Revelation that we overcome him (satan) by the word of our testimony ( the truth) and the blood of Jesus. I don't believe that when it says the blood of Jesus means to keep saying with our words, " I plead the blood of Jesus over me or any other situation". I believe like the angel of death passed by the homes of the Jews in Egypt because he saw the blood that's how satan will pass you by when he sees the blood of Jesus over you. A saved person, born of God cannot be touched by the evil one ( 1 John 5). Also, John says in 1 John that those who do not sin are born of God. People who do not live in sin are protected because they are under the authority of God.People under authority are protected.

The church has changed the Bible saying that we sin all the time but we are saved. No! it is time folks we believed God. Those who are not born of God practice sin. John says of course that, " If we sin" we have an attorney to the Father for us.-but only IF we sin. Big IF. The norm in the Kingdom of God is no sinning. If we are born of God and have His seed how can we say that we can sin? It is basically saying that God sins...His seed sins. Yes, we struggle, but it shouldn't be the norm.

Again, it doesn't mean we won't sin ever, but it should be the exception. There is a false teaching going on out there saying that because we are now under grace it is not based on our actions but what Jesus did we are saved. Yes, it is true that because of what Jesus did we are saved now, but Paul clearly says led by the Spirit of God. that we are not supposed to sin now (Romans 6). If you live in sin you are not born of God so how in the world can you be saved? The church is full of people calling good evil and evil good and then go and lift up their hands and say, " We are saved". NO. Remember 1 John that he who sins is from the devil. IF you live in sin and your lifestyle is practicing sin you are not born of God. God is love and He is truth, too. So much of America's churches remember only half of God's character that God is good and His love means we can just keep on sinning and be saved. 1 John, chapter 1 says, " If we say we have fellowship with Him yet we live in darkness we are deceived". Don't be deceived.

Thanks Bill...I appreciate your comment and I checked out that link. I know what you mean but I just believe it is more than pleading the blood. Think about non-believers..is pleadign the blood enough. The Bible says that teh blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness. When we are in Him His blood covers us and when God looks at us He sees us washed in the blood and therefore sinless. I dotn think it is wrong necessarily to say , " I plead the blood" I just want us tlo see that it means more than that and even if you dont say it if you are in Christ His blood covers us and satan will pass by or even the judgement of God will pass by. I like what you said about, not being sure what passes us by...that made me think. Right. Isnt it great then that we have the blood of Jesus to cover us and we are "passes by" so many things. Now I cant imagine the victory we would have if our testimony, lour words would line up too and believe God.

I came upon your post from a Google Alert I set up on the phrase "plead the blood". I do this every day for my family and believe God showed me something about this which I wrote about in my blog in 2006. You might be interested in reading it at: http://roadrevelations.org/?p=50. Be blessed!
