Cat In Ice Chest
This is one of my favorite stories. This happened when I was about 2 years old. My Dad had been fishing and was cleaning his caught fish, outside in the yard. I was watching him do this. The fish were in an ice chest full of melted ice and water. It was really cold. My Dad was throwing the fish scraps to a stray cat that had wandered into the yard. He turned his back for a second and the cat disappeared. He wandered where he was. I had put the cat in the ice chest. My Dad opened up the ice chest to get another fish out. When he did, the cat jumped out of the ice chest, three foot into the air. It ran off and my Dad never saw him again. I don't know why I did it. I feel sorry for that cat to this day.
Dog Eats Snack Cake
Two of my brothers and sisters, when they were kids, were fighting over the last snack cake. They were pulling it back and forth, right in front of the bird dog. Well, the bird dog got tired of watching them fight, so he solved the problem for them. He ate the last snack cake. I laugh every time my Dad tells me that story. I wish I had been there to see that.
Stuck On Tailgate
My youngest son was about four years old. We were watching fireworks on the 4th of July. We were all sitting in the back of a pickup truck. My son wasn't sitting down like he should have been and fell out of the back of the truck. He was wearing overalls and was hanging on the corner of the tailgate by his back pocket. He was stuck and couldn't move. Someone had to get him off the tailgate. It was so funny.
We could have already won the $100,000 Grand prize for any of those videos. My husband bought us a camcorder recently. We are now waiting to videotape the next funny thing that happens in our family. $100,000 here we come.
