We Know Democrats Hate Sarah Palin, but Now We Know They Hate Her Down Syndrome Baby, Trig, Too

Marc Schenker
In this day and age, we know that Democrats hate Sarah Palin with a virulence that makes one scratch one's head, but, now, empirical evidence has surfaced that actually verifies that Democrats hate Palin's Down Syndrome baby, Trig, too! After eight years where the Democrat Party suffered from veritable BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) and consequently called him all the vilest names in the book, we know that hatred for conservatives and Republicans is a constant trend among Democrats. However, this latest episode of virulent hatred takes the cake and, dare I say, is beyond the pale even for Democrats! The episode in question is a recent Frank Luntz polling experiment where a majority of Democrats actually refused to allow their dials to go over a reading of 50 (an indicator of extreme disapproval) when Sarah Palin was talking about her love for baby Trig and called for sympathy for Down Syndrome kids!

Appearing on the O'Reilly Factor this past Friday, pollster Frank Luntz and O'Reilly talked about pretty disturbing results of dial-polling among Democrats when shown Palin footage. Mind you, in the footage of Palin that the group of hate-infested Democrats polled, Palin wasn't talking about herself (which would probably get disapproval ratings of 100% from all the Dems holding the dials), campaigning, politics or anything to do with a subject that's in bounds for disapproval. No, sir! She was actually speaking as a mother, non-politically, in a way that most people should be able to relate (if they have a heart, that is) since it centered on protecting her child.

Weirdly, however, to the Democrats who were part of the Luntz group, that was apparently the signal for them to put their ferociously partisan hats on, close off their minds and hearts entirely, and then begin dialing the ratings down for Palin in a staggering display of hate that even gave O'Reilly pause and caused Luntz to break his usual policy of neutrality and exclaim, "What the hell???!!"

For the record, according to the pollster, Luntz, these Democrats who were so partisan and hateful to Palin and Trig weren't from where one would, perhaps, expect such hate; there were not the left that rules the Democrat Party, such as DailyKos "people," Huffington Post "readers," or the Moveon.org "folks." These were apparently 11, ordinary Democrats from Philadelphia (not Nancy Pelosi's district in San Francisco or Berkeley) who were among the tens of millions who voted for Obama in 2008. They were part of Luntz's focus group to evaluate the recent Family Guy cartoon where creator Seth McFarlane took a cheap shot swipe at Palin at the expense of little, defenseless baby Trig!

Not surprisingly, in the Luntz focus group, this sadistic group of Democrats just looooved the part of the irreverent cartoon where the special needs girl says, "...my mom is the former governor of Alaska!" in response to a question about her mom's occupation. According to Luntz, the same group of Democrats failed to find that cheap shot swipe against Down Syndrome babies and Palin offensive! Do you see those absolutely twisted values of those Democrats, which may even be a microcosm of how many more Democrats feel that way? Grotesquely, while the Democrats dialed down Palin calling for sympathy for Down Syndrome babies-like that would be a bad thing-they actually dialed up and found inoffensive a callous, cheap shot swipe against Down Syndrome people, all because they ideologically think it's a knock on Palin!

The conclusion of this little polling experiment was that Democrats are so partisan and ideological that they refused to put aside their personal feelings of enmity for a mother talking about her special needs kid just because they dislike her politics! Clearly, this is PDS at work here (Palin Derangement Syndrome), the ugly cousin of Bush Derangement Syndrome! But after we saw how the Democrats behaved to Bush and now to Palin, can we honestly be shocked that they'll also stoop to animosity for a little, Down Syndrome baby just to get at Palin herself?

At the least, liberals are rank hypocrites. Instead of the bleeding hearts they claim to be, liberals are stingy toward the poor and needy; they are generous only with other people’s money. Instead of treating all peoples by the content of their character, liberals are racially discriminatory; some are black and brown supremacists. Instead of the feminists they pretend to be, liberals are misogynists – hateful and vicious toward conservative women. Instead of their rhetoric of being for the common man, liberals are elitist snobs who constantly denigrate their political opponents by portraying conservatives as ignorant, dumb rednecks without a college education or the proper Ivy League credentials.

At the root of the Liberal Syndrome is a mental and moral disorder. Liberals are miserable, bitter, malcontent people with a perennial chip on their shoulder. They are arrogant and narcissistic, with a self-serving relativist morality. That is why they resent religions that have a mora

I heard mean things from hate groups about Sarah Palin son, not Democrats. And there are a few Republican that think she shouldn't show her son off. Saying its the only flaw about her. Why have that "R" word on your hip all the time we already like you.

The writers at The Family Guy were just wrong for their mean joke. Great article, Marc!

Interesting article. I'm a Democrat but I still enjoy reading your POV as well.

The hatred is appalling. I've heard a lot of very insensitive and downright hateful comments myself, from people I wouldn't have expected it from (against Sarah Palin).

No, I meant the article, more specifically the title. Very biased and not a true statement. I am a democrat and adore special needs children in the same way I adore all children. I don't like Palin though. In my opinion she comes across as one lacking intellectual curiosity. I wouldn't want her as President.

    Joyce,

All I did was to report on the O'Reilly Factor segment--the pollster, Frank Luntz, and O'Reilly himself condemned the Democrats in the experiment for being harsh. So, according to you, does that make the pollster and O'Reilly both "in poor taste," simply because they reported on disturbing poll results among Dems? Maybe you wanted to write that the Democrats in the polling experiment were in poor taste, but somehow you typed incorrectly and called my article in poor taste. Yes?
