Cici's Pizza started in 1985 by Joe Croce to give people good food, service, cleanliness and a good price for all you can eat pizza, salad, and dessert.
There are now about 600 restaurants and I am one who thinks that the mission was accomplished.
In 2004 and 2005 Nation's Restaurant News ranked CiCi's as number one for sales and unit growth in the pizza chain category. www.cicispizza.com.
The location to which we went is open from Sunday to Thursday 11:00a.m. to 10:00p.m. and Friday/Saturday until 11:00. They offer a to-go menu if you don't have time to site down. The buffet is an amazing $4.99 and $1.08 for a drink and for kids under 10 the cost is $2.99 and $.89 for a drink. This is the dine-in price and remember this is all you can eat!
CiCi's was crowded but we found an empty booth. The fact a table was full of smiling police officers gave me comfort that the food would be good. Someone came right over and cleaned the table. The smell was awesome. There is nothing fancy about CiCi's but out pig out was wonderfully delicious. We started with some pizza that was already cooked and then got some right out of the oven. We then decided to have one made for us and requested a veggie without olives. It was made with a smile. We went to get it and while we were up there took some pasta and salad. These two were adequate. Nothing to write home about but added a little bit to the pizza.
We then noticed (This was on the blackboard but is not advertised.) that we could order a pizza roll. This is sort of like a calzone. My husband went up and ordered it. We were given a cone to put on our table so when it was ready it was brought to our table.
Dessert was all we could eat chocolate pizza and pizza rolls. This was a great meal. I would go back again in a heartbeat but would order a couple of pizza rolls before I filled up on pizza that wasn't right out of the oven.
We had pizza another night in Clearwater, Florida at Paul's Chicago Pizza which was recommended by the campground at which we were staying. This food was excellent. I mean really good! It was located at 1500 North McMullen Booth Road. Paul's also has a buffet ($5.79) Monday through Friday from 11:30 to 2:00 but we went for dinner.
My husband and I got a thin, crispy crust white pizza that was cut in an unusual way. It was cut in squares. It was very good but not as good the ziti. The ziti was excellent - full of cheese and two pieces of garlic bread. Paul's was a great find. It is definitely a locals place so you have to be told about it so consider yourself told!

Post a CommentLOL, I moved my computer and it isn't so close or conducive to eating as before!
We have a Cici's here, we like it, it has a nice reasonable price. We can feed the whole family for little money.
