We Might Just Shave Our Heads

Rarely, if ever, do we consider our hair fabulous. More often than not, we're just happy we look half decent and we're not embarrassing ourselves. (Except when it rains, don't get us started on when it rains.) We're fans of the pony tail, and Anna especially is a fan of the flat iron. (She has curly hair... and she straightens the hell out of it.) Hair gel, hair spray, hair serum... we've used it all -- and been disappointed by it all. We're not embarrassed to admit that when we hear of a new product that promises our hair will have volume/straightness/shine we buy it up like the suckers we are. But we still have yet to find that magic product that makes our hair look like Reese Witherspoon's.

Which is why we were very interested when Elle magazine released a list of the most-requested celebrity hairstyles. They compiled data from hair salons all over the country to figure out which celebrities have the most coveted 'dos. Before we read the list, we decided to come up with our own top ten guesses, then compare what we thought to Elle's actual data.

Based on our extensive knowledge of celebrity hair cuts, styles and colors, our guesses at the Most Requested were

1. Victoria Beckham
2. Rihanna
3. Jennifer Aniston
4. Reese Witherspoon
5. Jessica Alba
6. Gwyneth Paltrow
7. Gwen Stefani
8. Sarah Jessica Parker
9. Eva Longoria Parker
10. Jessica Simpson

We were pretty proud of and confident in this list, so we finally clicked on Elle's link. (Which you can find here.)

According to Elle, the list is

1. Victoria Beckham (Score one for Anna and Katie!)
2. Katie Holmes (Should've guessed! Crap!)
3. Rihanna (That's two!)
4. Agyness Deyn (Okay... what the crap? Her hair looks like a boy. In case you don't know who she is... she's an international supermodel quickly on the rise. If you're familiar at all with Perez Hilton, she's the one he loves.)
5. Reese Witherspoon (Three!)
6. Heidi Klum (Yeah, yeah. It's those bangs. We should've known!)
7. Jessica Alba (Four! We don't like her, but you have to admit, she has good hair!)
8. Gisele Bundchen (What wouldn't you want that belongs to her?)

Apparently, Elle's list stopped at 8. (Not really sure why... that remains a mystery.) We would like to throw out there that if they did do numbers 9 and 10... those would most definitely be given to Gwyneth Paltrow (she just got that stunning new short bob) and Jennifer Aniston (she's always had most-requested hair) making Anna and Katie almost totally correct in their guesses!

Anywho... our verdict is: although we know you're supposed to be happy with what you've got, we'd pretty much take ANY of these celebrity haircuts over our own! Except maybe not Agyness Deyn's. That settles it -- we like our hair more than Agyness Deyn's! (We like our names more too!)
