when the stars met the sky
and kissed the sun Goodbye.
Did you hide,
like you always do
in front of the breeze
behind the oak tree?
Where were you
when the sun closed its eyes
and waved the moon hello
and its sunny life goodbye.
Five years ago,
before it all began
the earth, rotating on its axis,
had access to its future
but somehow lost it in the process.
Unwilling to change his mind about this,
the Earth, the scarred recipient,
scared to death of what it could bring,
fled the scene
became obsolete
and fell in a trance
far from what was to be.
The sun was down,
the stars were in hiding.
the moon was yet to be seen
but the fireworks were ever present.
The lights,
the bright arms
(the running shadows)
and the killer heat
were nothing compared to the loss of light
or the loss of night,
which made our little world unbearable at night
and a little darker in the sunlight.
