We Should Have the Right

Put the Issue of Marijuana to Rest in Kentucky, Put it to a Vote.

Ok Kentucky, the time for debate is over, this is a call to action. I'm not going to bore you with statistics, and graphs, nor am I going to argue the pro's or cons of legalization. By this time in the game everyone has pretty much got all the information they need to make up their own mind about marijuana usage, your not ignorant. This is one topic of which there are no gray areas, your either for it or your against it, no matter what you are that is fine. But now it is time for us as Kentuckians to have the same privilege as other states to request that the subject be put to rest once and for all like all things in this democratically ran country should be, take it to the ballot box.

It doesn't matter if your for it or against it, it makes no sense not to at least put it to a vote and let those who have to live under the rule of law dictate exactly what is rule of law. We here in Kentucky should enjoy the same level of freedom that those in other states in the Union enjoy, and we should not be scared of the outcome, because only one of two things can happen. Either we show the rest of the country that we are not afraid of change by lifting the ban on marijuana or send a clear cut message that we do not welcome marijuana in any form or fashion, and by putting it to a vote we can end the indecisiveness of our voice.

Contact you representative via email or snail mail, call, or visit and ask what their stance is on the subject, don't take a elusive answer that leaves you still debating the position of your rep. It's a straight forward question that deserves a straight forward answer "Do you support placing the matter on the ballots and letting the voter decide?" Let their answer be known, nobody wants someone who cant make up their mind yay or nay on any subject running their district; and seek support for your cause from friends, associates, and media.

Lets show how we support the democratic way and put in the hands of the people to decide, no one should deny us as a society the right to vote on such important matters.
