We Rule is an Iphone, Ipod touch screen game by Ngmoco that is available through the Apple App store for free. The We Rule game is similar to Farmville. By growing crops and building businesses the Kingdom advances in level unlocking new upgrades. Players can also connect through the Plus+ Network with friends. We Rule is a colorful, addictive game that requires a connection to the Plus+ Network to play.

Growing crops is the best way to make money while leveling up. At first corn and wheat are the main crops available. Harvesting crops is tone with a tap on the touch screen. If crops are not harvested soon, they spoil and you lose the investment of gold to plant the crop and the time it took to grow it. The longer a crop takes to grow the longer it will stay.

Every other level you will be able to build a new field for your kingdom, multiplying the profits from your crops. As your We Rule kingdom advances in level you will be able to plant better crops that take longer to grow and have better returns on gold and experience. To get the best returns plant the fastest crop that you have time to check on and replant frequently. Rice and strawberries are good crops for leveling.

Some We Rule players say that building tailor shops is the best way to level because the buildings have a small footprint and low cost. The 24 hour return on building a tailor shop is only 100 gold and 22 experience points compared to the high end buildings like the watch tower generate 500+ gold every 24 hours and considerable experience for a similar foot print. A look at the leader boards shows that the most successful We Rule players do not have tailor shops; instead they upgrade those buildings and conserve space.

Each building introduces a new character into your kingdom adding to the fun and color of your kingdom. Instead of building one type of building, build one of each saving space and money for the higher end buildings that come later.

The social aspect of We Rule allows your friends to visit your kingdom and place orders. When an order is filled both you and your friend will get experience and gold. While it sounds good in theory, there is no interaction that you can really do with other players other than accepting or rejecting their orders.

Unless you play with real life friends, the best strategy is to accumulate as many friends as possible and to frequently check their kingdoms for open businesses. To build my friends list, I randomly added names based on searches for common names and letter patterns like: A, el, Mary, etc. packed it as full as possible. Scan other kingdoms quickly on your touch screen and snap up open businesses before anyone else can. If someone rejects your offer, you will still win lots of orders through sheer volume. In most cases a player will not reject your offer. Other people's businesses are the key to advancing quickly in the game without having to invest anything yourself.

We Rule is a fun game that you can play for free on ipod, iphone or ipad but expect frequent disconnections, bugs and problems as the developers continue to work on improving the game. The game's developers and Ngmoco have announced that they are currently expanding available game content. I can't wait to see what they will come up with next.
