We harvest each day trying to provide for our tribes.
We worked hard to survive on this harsh rugged land,
My African brothers and sisters here we shall stand.
Over the ocean we was shipped in their dark holds
Scared, not knowing where we would go.
We have worked for others against our wills,
We tried to reach our dreams with our silenced skills.
However, many years have past us by each day we fear that our young will die.
We fight for our rights while we struggle just to be in the land of the brave and the home of the free.
Now, one of our brothers has made us Proud, for Obama will speak for us clear and loud!
