There were once three sisters;
A rebel, an over-achiever, and a dreamer;
All very close in age;
They bore a family resemblance;
Yet, they were distinctly different;
The oldest was a woman-child;
From the moment she was born;
Always tested the waters;
To see how far she should go;
The second was inclined to trouble;
Pushing the envelope further;
Always knowing exactly what she wanted;
And she spent her life chasing it;
On her laurels, she never rested;
The third is a dreamer;
Creative and resourceful;
Practicality does not live in her;
She dreams of the impossible;
Hoping against all the odds;
That her dreams will one day come true;
Although growing up in chaos;
They never forgot who they were;
They suffered through illness;
Endured bad marriages and hard times;
Little joys are celebrated;
Over an afternoon brunch;
Savored with a hot cup of tea;
Or a glass of red wine;
And although now, the rebel is gone;
She is not separated;
From the two who remain;
We sisters three live on;
United in love and memories

This sounds like my brother and sister. We say my sister is the brain, I'm the creative one and my brother is the conman who can convince anyone of anything. hahah! Loved your poem but sorry for your loss. I know your sister will be sorely missed.
