I know things change in life and people are always trying to come up with a easier way to do things. I was recently told about a group that host a coupon swapping party at their home once a week. I thought well okay that sounds kinds interesting, but still not yet intrigued.
As I'm looking up different things today I decided to check out a a product on line that I had just bought to see if their web site had any coupons to offer since it's a new product. And to my surprise I find a whole page plus more of people selling coupons.
Now this is what has me wondering. I thought coupons were free. And that most of the time the manufacture is the company that makes the product. So if the company is trying to get us consumers to try their product and offer a coupon for 75 offs or even a dollar why would people go on line and set up a web page and charge 10 or 12 cents sometimes more to mail me that coupon?
I think I have missed the boat. Are they getting these coupons by the manufacturer and then sending them out in bulk? I don't know the answer but I plan on investigating to get to the bottom of this. My mind kept going back to why would someone pay for something they can get for free.
My first stop was a site called www.couponcarryout.com. A individual who started their own business and even tells how one can become an affiliate and make money off their site as well. By simply adding their code to your web page and when someone clicks it and buys the coupons you get a small fraction of a commission.
So the bottom line with this site, you can order coupons once a week, there is a limit you can order and they charge you different prices for different coupons. You know how you can get those cards or inserts as I call them in a magazine when you buy them? The ones that say sign up now for a year subscription and get 12 magazines at 50% off? Well those same inserts you can get for free if you pick them out of the magazine will cost you 10 cents from this site.
So after doing some more searches and finding numerous sites of women out there who are like most of us and is looking for a bargain and trying to save money they have web sites that show you all the coupons and where they got them at and what paper. Some of these sites were www.couponmom.com
Another site I found called www.mycouponhunter.com also charges for these coupons. And yes they are straight from the manufacturer but occasionally they do have store or magazine and paper coupons. This particular web site finally cleared it up for me, You are paying for her time to cut and clip and ship them to you. Simple as that.
So I guess if your lazy and don't want to do a search or go buy a magazine or newspaper and get your own coupons there is a lucrative job out there for people who have discovered this. Just imagine the money you can save by clipping your own.
