Chapter One: John
My name is John; I was born in a room, raised in a room, taught by a T.V. I've only seen this room, a long bright hall way, and the rage to war room. "Who am I, what am I", I find myself asking myself all the time. I don't have it too bad, after all I get four meals a day, the best fitness machines money could buy, but I still find myself wondering what's on the other side of these walls. In my spare time which is all the time, I work out. Working out is very important because once a month I have to visit the rage to war room. Believe me when you go there you pray to come back, and always want to be in the best shape so you can walk out.
I hear the buzz, this means my meal has come. I am forced to walk into a cage in the back corner of the room, if I don't they won't bring me my food until I do. When I walk into the cage it's locked by a computer. A man walks in always wearing a mask, drops my plate on the floor and walks out. My cage is unlocked and I walk to my meal. Today like most days I get steak, potatoes,and a shake. It's always a meal rich in protein to make me a fighter. I have seen on television the restaurants and meals I have never tasted. One day I will get out. Until I can get out I will have to learn this place, and so far the only thing I know about this place is the commercial I have seen on T.V.
Chapter Two: Online Pet
Online Pet was founded on January 24, 2324 by Richard Coleman. Richard was a cruel man many called crazed. He envisioned a place not even the devil could have thought of. Online pet was like any other warehouse on the outside, but on the inside it took on a new phase. Really bright hallways connecting rooms and one central office. In these rooms were babies being raised, kids growing up, and men wondering what was on the outside of those walls. These people never getting to leave their rooms, raised by someone bidding on them over the internet. Who could run this place now in 2500, no one other than Richards's great great grandson Larry Coleman.
Larry Coleman crazed like his great great grandfather was, but in a different way. Richard was a man that loved having power, but Larry was caught up in wanting to make more and more money. Greed is what pushes Larry to continue the company and greed is what will bring him down. When he took over he didn't care about just raising people as pets over the internet, he wanted more. He set up a fight room he calls the rage of war room. In this room men raised from babies are forced to fight to the death, over what more than bet from the owner of them. Larry himself owns and fights a human pet, his name, John.
Chapter Three: Rage Of War
John has been in many fights over the years. With every fight comes a death. Today John has a fight, and he knows going into every fight it could be his last. If you refuse to fight you will be killed one of three ways: Bear is let into the room, other human there for battle takes off your head, or the yet they fill the room with water and you drown very slowly. The owner of the human that does choose to fight gets to pick which of the three will happen. In the years the rage of war room has been here only six humans have chosen to not to fight.
Getting ready to head to the rage of war, John trains hard. He doesn't know it but the owner of Online Pet is his owner. This gives him a bit of advantage because some fighters don't get the meals and work out machines he does. Larry sends only the best foods, exercise equipment, and vitamins to John to make him the strongest fighter possible. Larry places a normal one hundred thousand on his fighter John to win the fight. John hears the door open and a voice say," please exit the room now".
Chapter Four: A Fight To The Death John leaves the room and starts his journey down the long hallway. At the end is a closed door and he must wait. The other fighter behind another door on the other side is Jay. Jay has just turned the fighting age and already won three fights. Normally most fighters don't make it past two fights before they meet their end. The ones that do get to meet John, and no one has made it passed him yet. Every rich guy that raises and owns a Online Pet wants to challenge and beat Larry's pet. Jay has made it far, and has had a owner buying him very good training products. Jay and John looking at the doors start to lift.
Once they enter the room they can't start to fight but go to their side. On each side there is a table, a table of weapons. There are many types of weapons from swords to spikes. Jay picks up a long shaft with a sharp pointed end. John never fights with a weapon, not because he doesn't need one but he doesn't care if he wins. In their own rooms they are not allowed weapons so he doesn't train with them so he assumed not fight with them because it would slow him down. Now that they have their weapons the countdown
begins. "FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE, FIGHT", the men hear.
Starting in circles the men start to get closer. Jay runs in the shaft pointed at John. John jumps to the side at the last minute and grabs around Jays neck. In one fast move John snaps Jay's neck and as soon as it started it's over. John leans down over Jays body and says I'm sorry my brother. As the door lifts back up John starts back to his room, but now before giving the camera a long hard look.
Chapter Five: The Big Bet
Larry with his win was filling great. He wasted no time heading to the computer to post his next challenge. One of the rules is that a fighter has to wait one month before he can fight again to keep them in good shape. It took about one week for Larry to get his next challenge and it was a big one.
The average bet on a fight was about one hundred thousand dollars. Lori a owner of a few guys sent Larry a challenge against John for two million dollars. Larry not ever losing a fight with his main guy John takes the challenge even though it was extremely high. The date was set and the fighters were picked. John didn't keep up with all fights and owners, but when he looked up Lori's fighter he was shocked. Her fighter Randy had a record he hadn't seen in another fighter.
Larry has never been scared of losing a fight until now. Randy had won over ten fights and Larry had never been notified of it. Once bets are placed there is no backing out for Larry. Not being able to sleep he decides to do something no one has ever done with an online pet. He walks down the hall and tells them to open John's door.
