Even though Anime News Network sounds amazing for those of us that can't go to the store every month to buy an Anime magazine that are on the brink of extinction, does Anime News Network stack up against other anime websites? What about the websites writers, are they worthy of getting so much attention on such a great website?
Design
A websites design is a very important thing, for websites that sell things, you will want to get the attention of consumers looking to purchase certain types of items, right? Well, Anime News Network is a news authority on anime, so even though that they don't sell things they do have to attract attention from different age groups of anime fans and people from around the world.
Needless to say, attracting attention from anime fans all over the world is what they do. Surely every fan has their own favorite website to check up and such, however Anime News Network is by far the largest and most resourceful. Anime News Network even has a small network, including an Australia version of their website, and they seem to have a connection to the longest running anime and manga magazine, Protoculture Addicts.
Features
In terms of features, Anime News Network is pretty amazing; they always post the newest in anime news single day. Not only that, but they also have a virtual encyclopedia of basically every anime you could think of, and a list of all their voice actors and episodes. Anime News Network, also features videos (trailers) and such for the very anime they report on.
Writers
Surprisingly enough, the writers for Anime News Network are very good, they seem to have a lot of humor injected into every article. Nowadays, humor in news articles is something to be happy about. When checking out Anime News Network, you can be sure that all of the opinions of this website's staff aren't biased at all.
Improvements
While Anime News Network is nearly perfect, there is a few ways that the website could improve itself. Though they are just idea's, Anime News Network could benefit from them. If they were to publish their own anime magazine, then it would stay above water where others couldn't. They could also seek partnership with a website such as CruchyRoll, or host their own free anime episodes online.
Overall, Anime News Network gets a eight out of ten, for being almost perfect.
Final Score-
8 out of 10 (10 being perfect, 1 being the worst.)

Buh? Is that what your teachers told you about your B- average in primary school Mr. Remley?
I love Anime News Network and I've been checking on them for years now.
You depicted each aspect of the website correctly, but I wanted to let it be known that they also changed their layout recently.
I'm not sure if it was after you published this or not, but the layout is now a lot more professional than it once was and I think it's great.
It caused me to harbor more respect for the organization.
