Website Review: Goozex.Com

Matt Remley
Are you a gamer? I sure am, and honestly I'm tired of buying games from places like Gamestop that seem to rip you off even with trades. Amidst all this, is a site called Goozex, I've only recently found this site, but I'm very impressed so far.

Goozex is basically an online video game trading website that includes its very own store. The trades claim to be very fair and the site has even been reviewed by large video gaming websites and even newspapers such as The Washington Post.

You're probably wondering just how good the site is, correct? I'll visit the site, and give you all the details of the pros and the cons of this video game trading website. Lets get started, shall we?

*Pros

First of all I'd like to mention that this site's layout and graphical design is very impressive, I love the feel of it so to speak. The site seems very easy to manage even if your a person that doesn't use computers very often.

For the most part the trades do seem very fair, they have to make money of course while helping customers with trades so they charge a buck. I'm sure they also make some good money on the site from their online shop as well.

As far as their shop goes, the prices are average but they have new and used systems and games. The games on both the online shop and in the trading section have a vast selection in which an everyday person could get lost in. Personally I was very happy Goozex included older systems like Dreamcast and GameBoy Advance into their program.

While searching through the games, I discovered a good number of rare games. Which leads me to believe that if your a collector, this might be a website you'll want to check out. Even educational games are on Goozex, if anyone remembers the educational board game with Mario in it that was released on PC, you'll find it on Goozex.

When I last checked, the website was overseeing more then three thousand trades, users are able to see what games have just been delivered, and what games are being sent to other users as trades.

Gamers are also able to request that the instruction books be included with the game they're trading for. Take note that if you need help with anything the website has a forums for users, most of the people in the forums section seem like great people, so don't be afraid to ask questions.

*Cons

Typically, with sites like this you will find tons of things wrong about it. On the other hand, this site is pretty amazing, the only thing that I would change is the selection of systems supported by the website. I think it would be nice to have a place to trade-in old Super Nintendo games and so on.

Overall, this website is very impressive, I recommend it to any game fan out there that may be a collector, or just a gamer that wants to save some green. You can bet that this site wont rip you off, but if you don't believe me, try it out for yourself.
