The countdown to 2008 is on, are you ready? If you are planning on attending a fab New Years' Eve bash this year but don't know where to go, there is a great resource site for you at newyears.com

The website has information on New Years' Eve parties all over the greater New York city area. Not in the New York area? Don't worry, this site also has information for most major metro areas of the USA and Canada. This website has been providing party and ticket information to those parties for over 10 years now. It is a great resource for everything you need to know about the party you wish to attend, from what to wear to who you might meet there. All different size parties are listed, from the neighborhood bars to the chic gala balls with the biggest names in entertainment.

The site is very easy to navigate. I had fun exploring it. I especially liked the notes on each party. I could find out which of my favorite celebrities were likely to attend, which is an added bonus in my book, to what beverages were being served. At the very top of the website there are countdown widgets counting down to 2008 in the various time zones.

Buy tickets to the best New Years' Eve parties

Purchasing tickets to any of the parties listed is made easy from this site. Do keep in mind that there is a no refund policy for any of the tickets purchased for the New Years' Eve parties. So choose your party wisely. If you wish to purchase tickets via phone instead of online they do offer that option at a small extra charge. Purchasing your tickets in person is another option if you live in New York City. Since it getting close to New Years' Eve I would be getting my act in gear to buy those tickets before they are all gone.

List your party on newyears.com

Newyears.com also offers the opportunity for someone to list a party on the site - at no charge. They do charge a small commission if you choose to use their service to sell tickets through newyears.com All parties do go through an approval so that visitors to this site are offered only quality parties. Get the word out about your party today before it gets too close to Christmas.

Become an affiliate

If you happen to own a website there is an affiliate program so you can make a commission on each ticket sold by sending customers to newyears.com All affiliates will be paid their commissions near the end of January 2008. So if your site is compatible with parties and fun you might want to see if they approve you for their affiliate program. It's a great way to make some extra money.

Make your New Years' celebration a great one. Start off the New Year by attending a great party. You can find one at newyears.com and get ready to PARTY!

To those people that left the 2 comments below, please note that the article was written in 2007, a full 2 years ago. The website and even the owners of the website may have changed in that time. Always research anything before you buy something via the internet.

While this website offers alot of information, their customer service could be ALOT better. I was trying to make a purchase and i continually kept receiving an website system error that wasnt allowing my order to go through. When i was finally able to contact customer service about it, they didn't offer any explanation. They also wouldn't allow me to buy the tickets at the price i attempted to purchase them for. I had several authorizations on my credit card, and it was their fault the order would not go thru. I basically had to end up paying more for the tickets the next day due to their error, and they offerred no reason, apology or price adjustment. I won't be using them in the future. FYI - snaptickets.com and clubplanet.com are connected to newyears.com.

I would not use this website. I was charged $100 in processing fees to purchase tickets to a New Year's Eve bash. The first time I used this online service, I was told by the representative that I would receive a confirmation via email. However, three hours later, I did not receive a confirmation. I called the 800 number and stayed on the phone for about 30 minutes before getting through someone. When I explained my situation , she informed me that I didn't need it.
