Website Review- RC Universe

RC Universe, is a website created by and for RC lovers. It contains tons of information on RC vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Users are also able to buy and sell their RC vehicles and even find local clubs to check out. Judging by the websites stats, it caters to a very wide audience from around the world.

That audience come be collectors, and even common everyday folk. Does RC Universe top other RC themed websites and blogs around the web? Can RC Universe continue to grow or is it doomed to slowly decline and fade away into RC history? We'll answer those questions and more in this article.

Design-

Sadly, the design of RC Universe isn't very lovable. Everything is kinda bunched up together so it's hard to find things you might be looking for. Also, RC Universe seems to have quite a liking to advertisements, mostly for other RC themed websites. It feels as if to many things on the website are present on the front page.

The makers of RC Universe should spread things out a bit, or at least get rid of some advertisements. For that matter they could also make the website much more readable to users by uping the font size a bit and spreading links out more.

Features-

RC Universe has many interesting features for RC lovers. One could come to this website, and buy or sell RC vehicles of their preference. Of course the website doesn't just cater to those who own RC cars, but airplanes, and even boats also. Visitors to this website can also have a chat with other RC lovers via the forums.

Another interesting feature of the website is the fact that you can search RC venues and teaching instructors. That being said, RC Universe is almost like a Myspace for RC lovers if you haven't noticed that yet. Complete with pictures and video taken by RC lovers from around the world.

Webmasters may be happy to know that RC Universe allows for their reviews to be streamed on websites. Although some of us would just consider that to be nothing more then useless filler.

Improvement-

As mentioned above, RC Universe has tons of room for improvement. The main layout of the website gives an amateur feeling, so that needs totally redone. Also, making members pay for extra features such as unlimited advertising space for selling RC vehicles when they could just go to Ebay.com is a total joke.

Those faults aside, RC Universe gets a five out of ten. It's a social site for RC lovers, but anyone that isn't a hardcore fan of RC vehicles will quickly be turned away. Be sure to check out RCUniverse if your a RC fan, if not, then just stay away!
