Website Review: ZomgAnime

ZomgAnime, just another one of those "Watch Anime Online Free" websites, or something more?

If you're an anime fan then you may have already heard of ZomgAnime, which seems to be up and coming in the world of online anime episodes. Many websites out there are like it, offering users to watch free anime episodes online just like ZomgAnime.

How does ZomgAnime stand up against other websites just like it? Pretty decent, one would assume, although it would seem that CrunchyRoll is light years above ZomgAnime in terms of everything from fan base to features. What exactly does this website have going for it then you ask? Let's take a look at the design, features, and potenial improvements that would make this site perfect.

Design-

In terms of design, ZomgAnime is very simplistic, almost like your stareing at a blog. Which at times is a very good thing if you wish to keep things user friendly, in turn users will visit again. In this area the website does pretty well and keeps users coming back for the newest anime choices updated every single day.

Features-

Sadly, ZomgAnime is lacking in the features department. Although, this website only really has one purpose if you get right down to it, which is to provide anime episodes to users. Take note that the webmaster of ZomgAnime, also works on other websites making it almost like a small network of anime based sites. Additionally, ZomgAnime also features anime reviews, anime movies, a forum, and a chat.

Writers-

Most of the writters doing the anime reviews for ZomgAnime are fan made. Currently, it would seem that only the only conpensation for writters is actually the displaying of their byline. Some of these reviews are well written and informative, however none of them follow a guideline for reviewing.

Improvements-

While ZomgAnime does have some very good features, it does have room for improvement. Contributers to the website should be given guidelines to follow when writing reviews. Also, the website could use its own web player instead of just posting embeded Veoh or MegaVideo players. For that to happen it would take tons of work, and money, so let's not hold our breath.

Dispite a few faults with ZomgAnime, it's a very good website which allows users to watch free anime episodes from anywhere they have an internet connection. ZomgAnime is a webiste that every anime fan should keep an eye on for awhile because it may have room for improvement, but ZomgAnime is still a very good anime website.
