As some of you may know, Kelley Blue Book has become the United States' largest vehicle valuation company. The company has become so widely known that the companies trademarked terms are somewhat synonymous with a car's market value.
Kelley Blue Book's website, kbb.com seems to be loaded with good deals, ever wonder if this website is all it's cracked up to be? That is actually where I come in, I am going to go to the site, and check out if this site is good, bad, or just unusable.
*The Good
For a company that started as a dealership with three Model T Ford's I am actually impressed. I do not know about you, but personally I would rather purchase an used car more then a new one, mainly for price reasons, but it's always good to know that someone else enjoyed the car before you.
Kelley Blue Book's website offers an extensive library of new and used car's and that car's value. For instance I clicked on the used Honda Accord, that was posted on the front page of the website.
A prompt came up asking for my zip code, after entering that it shows the list of Honda Accord's by their year. From there you can look at reviews for the car, price listings, or even photo's.
I wanted to see the quality of the photo's, so I clicked that option and to my amazement the photo's were very clear and had a good quality. Some car's seem to have more then just photo's taken of them, as they also have video's.
Below the photo is a list of the dealers selling the car model picked, and guess what, they are all in your zip code. You are also given a map of where the dealership is, and quite a few other things, like information on the dealership itself.
The great thing about Kelley Blue Book is that it seems in no way biased, they have automobile news from all over the world, and even a classifieds section for car listings all over the United States.
Take note that Kelly Blue Book offers more then just resources for people that want to buy cars. They also have a section for motorcycle values, and even snow mobiles and water crafts. I am a huge fan of motorcycles, so I give this part a two thumbs up, next time I consider buying a motorcycle I will be checking Kelly Blue Book.
*The Bad
While searching this site, I could not find many bad things about it surprisingly. Perhaps maybe the front page of the website could use some organization, but that is about it. I just do not like how some of the pages are cluttered with advertisement's and so on either.
*Overall
Obviously the good out weighs the bad, Kelly Blue Book's website is simply great. From it you can get the newest automobile news and find new and used cars for sale at the same time. I recommend this site for anyone that wants to save some cash on that new car they've been thinking about purchasing. Two thumbs up!
