How a Mouse Can Change the World

For those of you who want to help save the world but aren't sure where to start, here is a list of ways you can help from the comfort of your own home:

www.goodsearch.com - How many times a day do you use a website like google or yahoo search? Why not put all those searches to good use. Next time you need information, hop on over to www.goodsearch.com and they will donate to your cause everytime you search.

www.goodshop.com - What about internet shopping? www.goodshop.com, sister site of www.goodsearch.com, will donate up to 30% of your purchase to the charity of your choice.

www.jogogreen.com - Plant a tree with a few clicks of your mouse. Answer 10 questions correct at www.jogogreen.com and Trees for the Future (TFTF) will use website advertising dollars to plant a tree. Coming soon: jogogreen oceans jogogreen hunger.

www.freerice.com - Build your vocabulary and help feed the hungry. Visit www.freerice.com and for each correct answer, the UN World Food Program will donate 20 grains of rice.

www.thehungersite.com - My personal favorite. This is a site that lets you do it all. Don't be deceived by the name, thehungersite.com does more than help Mercy Corp and America's Second Harvest feed the hungry. There are 6 different causes centrally located on one page, and all you have to do is click to give, it's totally free. You can donate resources to fight hunger and breast cancer, donate free child healthcare, support literacy with free books, give free food and care to rescued animals, and help protect the rainforest. All in one place...it's that simple.

www.ripple.com- With one click on www.ripple.com you can give 6 days access to clean water, help a village feed itself, give 2 days access to education, or help Grameen finance a loan to help lift someone out of poverty.

www.ecologyfund.com - You can protect 87 square feet of land everyday. Visit ecologyfund.com to save the rainforest, protect endangered species, and keep the US marine wilderness intact.

www.youthnoise.com - Each month youthnoise.com selects a different cause for their just 1 click feature. This month it is child health in Uganda. Check back often to help out.

www.thestophivsite.com - Each time you click on thestophivsite.com, a donation is made in the fight to find a cure for HIV.

http://cannecy.free.fr/solar/- Convert your clicks into solar engergy. 1 Kw for each click. Proceeds go toward developing solar energy in poor countries.

www.giveaminute.org- For each click on the banner at giveaminute.org, generous sponsors will donate one minute of free healthcare to those in need.

So much good can be done in such a short amount of time, with so little effort. It can even be fun. Why not spend a little time and effort doing a world of good?
