Brides.com: Wow! This website covers pretty much everything that has to do with weddings. The general subjects are: engagement, fashion, beauty and fitness, planning and ideas, etiqutte, real weddings, community, honeymoon, shop, and registry. In each one of those categories there is a ton more detail and hints to help with planning and to keep the stress level low. If you join the website, it has tools to help you with your budget, guest list, and seating chart! This is an all-in-one website. Even if you do not want to sign up to the site, at least check it out to see if you can get any ideas for your wedding. This website is perfect when you are just starting out and do not know where to begin.
TheKnot.com: This website covers just as much as Brides.com but it also helps more locally. This site is stuffed with great ideas from the ceremony to the reception to the honeymoon. They have a very helpful checklist that can help you get started and keep you on schedule (which is very good for any procrastinator). This has great tools and if you didn't like the setup of the budget tool at Brides.com, TheKnot has one too! You can choose which one you like better and keep all of your budget in one place with easy access. The shopping section is great for finding anything you need to purchase for your wedding, including: dresses, accessories, shoes, rings, and anything for the reception. It is a one-stop shop!
WeddingDetails.com: If you need a little bit more help organizing than the other two sites can help with, this is the site for you. This site covers a great deal of wedding topics but its soul purppose is to help you stay organized and un-stressed. Of course, they offer just as many helpful tips and sources as the other sites but this site is much more about details. It is an easy-to-use site with good tools for planning and staying on task to get done on schedule. This site has great checklists, worksheets, and articles to help keep brides motivated because it is easy for the engagement to lose happiness if it is covered in wedding stress.
I hope these three wedding sites help you to plan the wedding of your dreams. I know that they have helped me a great deal with planning and organizing my dream wedding. My fiance even enjoyed some of the articles and ideas. The more help you have, the less stress you have to deal with. Stick to your tasks, enjoy these websites, and good luck!
