We had quite a few low times but some how managed to get back on our feet. The things he taught me that I would have never known about. The second year we were married, I was a waitress at Denny's. I remember the day I quit. That was a relief in itself. But this one couple caught my attention. While I was an angry waitress the urged me to sit with them. They were about in their fifty's. They asked if I was married I said yes.
They asked for how long now. I said two years, They smiled and said, We never give gifts at wedding. I wondered why. Then they spoke; If you can make it past five years you can make it through anything.
That made me think and still think that through all of these years I have held on to those words. Just the same as when my mom told me those same words not to long ago. If you get to experience true unconditional love. You have already made it through five years of basic training, This thing we call " getting married" or joke about " getting shackled down" Of course if you've been married ten years you surly know you shackled and hog tied by now.
For those who are considering marriage this is my advice to you.
Marriage is a bond between two people to make them join as one.
Also If you can make it past five years you can make it through anything!
