Wedding centerpieces are typically some sort of flower arrangement or something with balloons or some really elegant and fancy looking. Rarely do you ever see wedding centerpieces that can be played with or an activity for the guests to participate in. Why not make your wedding reception fun for everyone, even those who don't like to get out and boogie on the dance floor. Here is a list of 7 fun interactive ideas for your wedding reception centerpieces.

1. BOARD GAMES OR CARDS: What better way for people who possibly don't know each other to get to know each other than playing some board games or card games. Put a couple board games in the center of each table. You could also order decks of cards with a picture of the bride and groom on the card decks, these could double as fun and favors. Your guests will love to play!

2. FISH BOWLS: This works especially well if you are having a tropical theme wedding. It also works if the bride and groom are big animal lovers. Simply put a couple of fish bowls with some tropical or gold fish in each bowl in some water. Also, provide some food for the fish to be fed; kids will really love this interactive centerpiece. Plus fish are fun to watch!

3. PUZZLES: You could also have a picture of the bride and groom put onto puzzle boards. Simply set these in the middles of the tables for people to put together. It will bring your guests together in a fun way!

4. CAMERAS WITH A TWIST: Many people have tried setting the disposable cameras on all of the tables for their reception. Many times the bride and groom end up with a mess of wasted pictures that are not any good. You could try this method for a change and hopefully better results. Put the cameras on each table with a list of things that need to be in the pictures.

The list could make suggestions and have a check off list like this:

___ Bride and Groom dancing

___ Wedding cake

___ Bride's 1 year old nephew

___ Groom holding the bride

5. DIARY: Place small wedding guests books on each reception table. Put a little not inside the first page saying that everyone at each table should write a small story in the book that they remember about the bride or groom when they were growing up. These will be guest books that you will cherish forever, just like your wedding day.

6. SIGNATURE VASE: There are many different ways for the bride and groom to keep track of who their wedding guests were these days. It used to be the old fashioned simple guest book, but these days people even place pictures in mats for their guests to sign and more. This is the same type of idea. You can now find flower vases with special pens that can be signed by the guests. So why not get one of these vases for each table, put some flowers in them, and let the guests sign away!

7. GIFT BOXES: One last interactive idea is to give your favors to your guests in gift boxes. You could have a box placed at each seat for the guests to open. Or you could also make centerpieces out of the guests favor gift boxes. Making the favors different and placing them in different sized boxes for an even bigger challenge for each guest of "picking the best gift box".
