Elegant Mirrored Centerpiece:
12" to 15"round mirror
6 clear votive holders
6 votive candles (color of choice that will match with ribbon)
1 yard of a ½" - ¾" sheer ribbon (color that matches with the votives)
6 - ½" glass bubbles
6 - 2" glass bubbles
Set the mirror flat on the table, take the votives and put them each votive holder, and arrange on the mirror to your liking. Place the 2" bubbles on the mirror and then the ½" bubbles. Arrange them so they look light and airy. Cut the ribbon in lengths of 6" each.
Slightly curl the ribbon with a scissors, if it is the wired end ribbon; just bend, ever so lightly to make some curl on the ribbon. When the candles are lit, this centerpiece will have a simple elegance. All items here should be able to be bought at a Michaels craft store or Hobby Lobby.
Simple Vase Centerpiece:
4" round glass vase
3"- 3 1/2" rose
Clear flat glass stones
Confetti
For a simple centerpiece we will use a round glass vase around 4". (Like the kind you get a goldfish in a the fair) A rose about 3"-3 ½", real or silk. Set a few clear flat glass stones on the bottom of the vase; place the rose on top of the stones. Have some confetti and when the centerpiece is put on the table, add a few sprinkles of it in and around the centerpiece.
Floating Candle Centerpiece:
Glass bubble bowl or shallow bowl
A few floating candles
Food coloring
Rose petals (optional)
Take a glass shallow bowl, size depending on how many candles you would like to use. They make such beautiful floating candles now, there is no need to put any thing else in with them. So just add a few inches of water maybe a drop or two of food coloring. Add a few floating candles, a few rose petals look pretty on the table, around the bowl. Now light and you will have a nice romantic glow.
Hurricane Lamp Centerpiece:
Hurricane lamp chimney
Glass cake plate
Flowers
Pillar candle
This centerpiece is an easy one to make, but turns out just beautiful. Set the candle in the middle of the cake plate and put the hurricane lamp chimney over it. Take the flowers real or artificial, place around chimney on the cake plate and arrange to your liking.
Tea Cup Centerpiece:
For this simple but cute centerpiece all you need is a tea cup and saucer, and a flower.
Take your tea cup and put just enough water in it so your flower will float. Set tea cup on saucer and add flower. This could also be done with a floating candle.
