Wedding Dress Selections by Reese Witherspoon and Valerie Bertinelli the Second Time

Stars like Reese Witherspoon and Valerie Bertinelli balked in the face of tradition when it came to deciding what to wear for their second weddings in 2011. Perhaps not feeling bound by any traditional vise or expectation the second time, these celebrities went with their individual visions of what best suited them and their particular fancies.

Although experts say it's perfectly okay for the bride to wear white at her second wedding, Reese instead went with a breathtaking blush-colored dress, while Valerie chose a light blue number that contrasted beautifully with her dark hair and skin tone.

As a result, each woman absolutely shined and rightfully earned the wow factor from family, friends, and guests during their wedding ceremonies.

Witherspoon married talent agent Jim Toth on March 26 and donned a custom-made Monique Lhuillier gown. Highlighted with a Chantilly lace corset bodice and a full tulle A-line skirt, the gown was perfectly suited in both color and style for the "Legally Blond" actress.

By 2007, the blond beauty was divorced from her first husband Ryan Phillippe, but discovered true love again in Jim Toth whom she met in early 2010.

Valerie Bertinelli

America's sweetheart Valerie Bertinelli, perhaps best known for her role in the 1970's sitcom "One Day at a Time," recently wed financial planner and long-time boyfriend Tom Vitale on January 1 of this year.

Maintaining her hot body (Valerie lost 50 pounds over a two-year period) the Jenny Craig alum and spokeswoman was illuminating as any first-time blushing bride in a custom-designed David Meister light blue chiffon gown on her wedding day.

Meister had less than two weeks time to create the masterpiece, but was still able to showcase the "Hot in Cleveland" star's natural features. In fact, Valerie's trainer Christopher Lane told People of the dress, "It accentuates all of her best parts," as you can see here.

Bertinelli wed Vitale in front of her ex-husband Eddie Van Halen, telling Access Hollywood "I think it's really important that you never ever hate your ex more than you love your children and I've never hated Ed, so I'm lucky."
