Planning a wedding can be very tricky. The details involved may become overwhelming and couples are sometimes charged for things that in the end they really did not need. One area that can be very hard to estimate is the cost of floral arrangements needed in a wedding. Look for floral designers with extensive wedding design experience and portfolios showing actual examples of their work. A weddings floral bill depends on the amount of flowers and designs. Having an understanding of exactly what is needed will help each florist give an accurate estimate.

The Wedding Party

The bride, the maid of honor, and the bride's maids all carry bouquets. Grandmothers and mothers are given corsages, while grandfather and fathers are given boutonnieres, which are different from the groom and his ushers. Other floral arrangements include the flower girl often has a floral headpiece and a matching basket. The ring bearer's pillow if also often designed with flowers, but this is optional.

The Church

Floral arrangements in the church are not mandatory and can be eliminated is the couple is facing budgetary constraints. Most couples will decorate the aisle or pew with floral decorations. Altar and Chuppah flowers should be discussed with your priest or rabbi prior to ordering. This will help to avoid any hurt feelings or inappropriate displays.

The Reception

The most common floral arrangement orders for the reception are the head table, guest table, cake table, and buffet table centerpieces. Some brides also order reception room flowers but this is optional.

The Details

Other things that affect price are additional items such as aisle runners and candles. Make sure that each estimate also includes delivery and set up fees. Find out exactly what service the florist will include as part of your floral wedding purchase. Prior submitting a down payment make sure all the detail are in a contract and get a detailed written description of the color, type and quality of flowers
