Wedding Gift Ideas for Under $75 at Williams-Sonoma

Karl
Finding and purchasing a wedding gift can be pretty stressful. Does the couple already have that vase, do they need an extra set of towels, should I get something practical or something more fun? Many couples these days also have numerous wedding showers, so by the time the wedding comes around, most of the items on their registries have already been purchased.

I have found that Williams-Sonoma is a great place for gifts and gadgets perfect for any newly married couple. Their stores are located in every major city, have an easy to use website, and have gifts for all occasions. Many couples tend to register at Williams-Sonoma, but even if they haven't, it is a great place to pick up a nice, and inexpensive wedding gift. Here are ten great, practical and not so practical gift ideas under $75:

1. Stainless Steel Bar Tool Set - $59.00

This is an inexpensive, but nice gift that most people can put to use. It comes with a strainer, jigger, bottle opener, bar knife, ice tongs and a stirrer. This is a great addition to any home bar. At this time, this item is only available to purchase online.

2. Monogrammed Stainless Steel Cocktail Shaker - $32.00

To keep with a bar theme, this classic 23 oz. cocktail shaker makes a great gift. You can have this item monogrammed or personalized with the new couples' initials. Even if the recipient doesn't drink martinis, this shaker looks beautiful on display and can be used to shake any cocktail. With a cost ranging from $24-$32, you can certainly purchase a couple extra items and make a great martini gift basket. Buy two martini glasses, a jar of olives, and even a nice bottle of gin, along with the shaker, and you have a great wedding gift the couple is sure to remember.

3. Cuisinart Popcorn Popper - $59.95

This dishwasher safe popcorn popper makes a fun gift that would also make a great theme basket. Add some of Williams-Sonoma's White Cat popping corn and a gift card for movie rental, and any new married couple will be all set for a movie night.

4. Personalized Adult Aprons - $29.00 each

For the couple that spends a lot of time in the kitchen, matching personalized aprons are a fun gift. The aprons come in 6 different colors and can be personalized with initials or names. This is an internet exclusive, and you must order in advance since there is no rush shipping on monogrammed items. And they are not returnable, obviously.

5. Teak-Handle Grill Tools - $69-89.00

This beautiful set of grilling tools is a great gift for anyone who appreciates the BBQ. The set includes a spatula, fork and tongs, and a basting brush. The tools are stainless steel with an extra long teak handle that can be monogrammed (monogrammed items are available online only).

6. Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker with Extra Bowl - $59.95

This is a best selling item for Williams-Sonoma. You can easily make ice cream or sorbet in as little as 20 minutes, and who doesn't love home made desert? All you have to do is pour in the ingredients, turn the machine on and a short time later enjoy your ice cream. This item is normally $110 and is currently on sale, but even if the price returns to $110, it is certainly worth the price.

7. Cherry Wood Trays, Set of 3 - $75.00

Williams-Sonoma sells a beautiful set of wooden trays that make a great gift for nearly anyone. They can be used for practical purposes, such as serving your hors d'oeuvres, or used simply as an attractive touch to any table or buffet. It's a great general gift to give someone if you really don't know what they would like or use.

8. Williams-Sonoma Food Made Fast: Boxed Set of 4 - $58.00

I know this makes a great gift idea, because it is something I received and use often: 4 great, easy to use cookbooks that highlight Baking, Pasta, and Soups. It also includes their Weeknight cookbook which includes recipes for numerous, easy to make meals - many that can be made in less than 20 minutes. The cookbooks have beautiful pictures, clear instructions and even a number of tips. A great gift for those that like to cook, and even for those that tend to struggle with the basics.

9. Glass Pitcher - $54-62.00

Williams-Sonoma makes classic, elegant pitchers of all shapes and sizes. Pitchers make a great gift for anyone and can be used at the bar, at the picnic table, and even can be used as a vase. They have clear glass and plastic pitchers as well as several provincial styles that would add a nice touch to someone's kitchen.

10. Williams-Sonoma Gift Card - Any amount

Not the most personal gift one can give, but who doesn't like to receive a gift card. This way the couple can go pick out something together that they are sure to love. They can use it to buy extra place settings, a few extra wine glasses, or buy something that they didn't get from their registry. From my experience, most couples are excited to receive gift cards.

So although it can be hard work to buy the right present for the newly married couple, Williams-Sonoma is a great place to find them something special.
