Wedding Gifts that Are Unique and Trendy

Thinking about what to get the happy couple at their wedding can be a tedious task. While some prefer gifts, it is acceptable to give them a check or cash. Cash is a great gift for the bride and groom because of its versatility. Take for instance how nice it would be for them to use the money for bills, purchasing groceries, starting a family, or purchasing a home of their own. Cash is also a welcomed addition for use as extra spending money for that romantic destination they have chosen. While it is acceptable for the guest to decide to present the couple with cash, it is tacky for the couple to request it. Spice things up and give them framed check and a nicely written note. They will greatly appreciate it.

The majority of couples will register at selected stores. Shopping made simple. You have the option of having a list of the gifts they want in front of you. Find the gifts on the list that are more expensive and give it to them. This is more than likely a whim item and not expected. If it costs more than you can afford to give, find a few of the other guests and suggest they help. If several people chip in on the wedding gift then you can get something that is on the higher price end of the wedding registry.

If the couple has no plans for a romantic getaway or simply cannot afford one, provide one for them with a deluxe suite accommodation at a local hotel. Contact the bride or grooms parents to make certain there are no other plans. If possible, add a bottle of champagne or a basket of fruit or vase of flowers to the room as an added bonus to your already perfect array of gifts.

Give the couple gifts that are not opened until the future. This may be an expensive bottle of champagne for their first anniversary. You can even find something that will appreciate as the years go by. This might be a painting or an antique. A wedding quilt for the bed is also a nice surprise. Bring the past, present, and future together as you encourage the couples dreams to unfold. These types of wedding gifts allow the memories of that special day to live on.

Take the time to find out where the bride and groom are going on their romantic getaway. Research some of the places near their destination and present them with a gift voucher to a restaurant nearby. You might even be able to provide them with first class flying accommodations when they previously thought they were flying coach. High quality cameras are great for memories and you can give them a photo album to go with it. You might even think of the cash again and hide that somewhere in a travel guide about their trip.

Wedding gifts have endless possibilities. Just have fun and be creative with what you choose. The bride and groom will love whatever they get and if they do not, they can always exchange if you provide them with a gift receipt.

Great gift ideas. I like the idea of teaming up with others to get a bigger item.

Good ideas. The restaurant voucher is a good one, and teaming up to buy one more expensive item was a solid idea as well!

My husband and I registered at Walmart and had mostly household items and candles on the list. We stayed pretty basic and affordable for those who would be buying us gifts. Great article!
