TOP TIP FOR PICKING AND SELECTING YOUR WEDDING MENU: Always try before you buy. You don't want to spend a lot of your wedding budget on fancy meals if they will only go to waste and get left by guest. Get input from friends and family if you are unsure to make it a feast everyone can enjoy.
For your wedding you could go all out and have a 8 course menu, 5 course menu, or you could opt for a normal 3 course menu. Below are a few suggestions and ideas for 8 course, 5 course and 3 course menus:
Eight course menu Ideas:
Idea 1: Smoked salmon, melon and other fruit, Smoked chicken with salad and a dressing, coupe jaques, Cheese board/selection, followed by coffee, then some mints then a fruit basket.
Idea 2: Savouries, Prawn cocktail, Soup, Chicken and asparagus, Pudding with clotted cream, coffee, then a fruit basket or perhaps some mints.
If an eight course meal is a bit too much then how about opting for an:
Five course menu Ideas:
Idea 1: Savouries, Soup, Smoked haddock with mushrooms, Bread and butter pudding, followed by coffee
Idea 2: Savouries, cheese board selection, Traditional English Roast, followed by coffee and a dessert such as Strawberries and Cream
Three course menu Ideas:
Idea 1: Soup, Poached salmon, then followed by Éclairs with cream and chocolate
Idea 2: Prawn starter, Roast spring chicken, followed by coffee with accompanying mints.
Remember that no menu is set and it is always best to put together menus of what you and your guests will like, east and enjoy - as it is your day to enjoy after all!
TOP TIP FOR SELECTING AND CHOOSING A WEDDING MENU: Base your menu around the month or season the wedding will take place in. If you know what month you are getting married in then this will be helpful as you can use it as a base. Search what ideas and dishes are popular for or around that time of the year.
I hope you have found this article both useful and helpful and I wish you every success and the best of luck in creating a mouth watering wedding menu.
