Wedding Table Centerpieces

If you are reading this then I assume you are starting that wonderful task of planning all the details of your wedding. Well let me wish you luck that you may not forget any, you obviously haven't forgotten the wedding table centerpieces, so that's good. If you are worried about everything coming out perfect, then let me help you put your mind to ease, well at least the part focused on the centerpieces.

The most traditional centerpiece is a floral arrangement. The floral arrangement used to be the most popular choice as well, but a recent trend has shown that more and more couples are doing away with the expense of flowers and going with something more modern and more meaningful. It also seems that couples who do use flowers are not going for a traditional large bouquet but quiet often use just petals, or have just a few flowers to accent what the main wedding table centerpieces are.

One main theme in a lot of centerpieces being used now is candles. Candles can create such a wonderful mood and they are incredibly versatile. No matter what your colors are you will be able to find a candle that will match. Then you have to decide if you want to do slender tapers, pillars or even floating candles. Then you can customize how they are arranged on the table and what accents you use. I've also seen receptions that choose to do tapers on half the tables and then floating candles on the other half. It's really all up to how imaginative you can be.

Another recent trend, which is probably due to the economy, is create wedding table centerpieces out of your favors. For instance, if you are giving out boxes then you would stack the boxes decoratively in the middle and then maybe accent them with ribbon and glitter. Another one is to purchase mini candle holders and have these in the center with little thank you messages tied to them and glitter or flower petals to accent.

Whichever centerpiece idea you choose, just make sure you and your spouse are happy with it. You two and only you two will be seeing it in your wedding pictures for the rest of your life, not your guests.
