After seeing the last 10 minutes of an episode in passing I knew that I had to go home right away and spend the last little bit of my emergency money on the first season of Weeds on DVD and I doubt I will ever regret that investment. Who needs foods when you have Weeds. [This is of course a trick question... Weeds... Munchies... Good thing I work at a pizza place where the food is free!] Who could say no to this? A suburban mother of two becomes widowed and her husband does not leave her with any money. What is a good mom to do to help keep herself and her children in the lifestyle they are used to other than sell drugs, namely weed? I sure wish I had thought this show up.

Cast
The cast of this show is absolutely to DIE for. Kevin Nealon is absolutely hilarious [imagine that]. Mary-Louise Parker is perfect as Nancy. You cannot help but to love her. Elizabeth Perkins kills me. As much as I want to hate her, you can't help but to love her. She is hilarious in the most abrasive way possible. Romany Malco [who you may remember from the 40 Year Old Virgin] is wonderful as Conrad, a drug dealer.

Verdict
Buy this. It is highly addictive and a gateway drug into more Showtime series [such as Dexter]. The show is hilarious and sitting and watching the entire first season straight through is not a problem. Watching it straight through is something I do about ever week and a half. The show is amazing; I want to tell everyone about it. I push the DVDs over to my friends and push everyone I know to watch Weeds both on TV and the first season on DVD. I recommended this show to everyone and I mean EVERYONE. DEA agents may even enjoy this show [I'm not making any promises, but it is that good, come on, take one for the team, you might not get fired].
