Weehawken Performing Arts Presents "The Nutcracker"

Sandy James

It's almost time for the 5th annual performance of The Nutcracker by the students of Weehawken Performing Arts in Ouray County. This year's performance will have a cast of more than 120 children performing.

This popular holiday event has grown so much over the past five years, that Weehawken had to change the location this year from the Wright Opera House in Ouray to the Montrose Pavilion. It also means that more people will be able to attend the performance as the seating will be doubled.

All of the children performing with Weehawken love to dance and if you've never seen these cute ballerinas on stage, this is your opportunity to enjoy an evening watching them dance and twirl. It's definitely a joy-filled event for the holidays and you'll come away smiling.

The Nutcracker will be performed two nights this year and here's the details:

Friday Night, December 2, 2011

Saturday Night, December 3, 2011

7 PM - 9 PM

Montrose Pavilion

Tickets are on sale now for Reserved Seating and General Admission. Reserved Seating is $22-$25 and General Admission is $15 for Adults, $10 for Seniors age 65 and over, and $8 for Children under 12 years of age.

You can purchase tickets online at www.weehawkenarts.org or by calling 970 318-0150.
