Early Week 1 RB Rankings - Player Profiles and Stat Projections Will Be Posted Throughout the Week

Week 1 --- QB Rankings --- RB Rankings --- WR Rankings --- TE Rankings --- D Rankings --- Waiver Pickups --- Matchup Picks

1. Jamaal Charles - KC = Buf
With little improvement likely in store for the Buffalo run defense this season, Charles seems like the safest fantasy football RB play in Week 1. He should easily tally the 100 total yard mark, with something in the range of 150 total yards very likely. A touchdown is definitely within reach as well.

2. Adrian Peterson - Min = @SD
One of the most reliable fantasy football RB stat collectors in the game, Peterson should be a workhorse for the Vikings this week, and a final stat line in the range of 20-25 carries for 100-125 rushing yards and 1 touchdown is attainable.

3. Chris Johnson - Ten = @Jac
With zero preseason reps under his belt, Johnson will either be extremely rusty or extremely rested and ready to go this week. I'm thinking the latter has a better chance at being correct. 100-150 total yards and 1 touchdown is possible.

4. Darren McFadden - Oak = @Den
Much like the Buffalo Bills run defense, the Broncos were near equally atrocious last season, and it would not be surprising if they make little improvement against the run this season. It is conceivable that McFadden could lead all fantasy football RBs in scoring this week, as he should be a workhorse who gets plenty of touches both in the running and receiving attack. 150 total yards and 1-2 touchdowns could be in store.

5. LeSean McCoy - Phi = @StL
While the Rams defense could easily be much improved this season, the Eagles offense should prove to be too much for them to handle this week. Unfortunately for McCoy fantasy owners, the Eagles have a plethora of playmakers who can score on nearly any play which could reduce the number of scoring opportunities presented to McCoy this season. However with that said, McCoy still has plenty of potential to be a total yardage beast, and a stat line in the range of 100-150 total yards is easily within reach for McCoy this week, with a touchdown also very likely.

I need to start 3 of the 5 RB's, Gore, Mendenhall, Turner, Chris Johnson, and Shonn Green...... Which 3 would you choose? 2 go as RB's and the other is a RB/WR. My email is dlema24@yahoo.com
