Week 1 - TE Rankings

1. Antonio Gates - SD = @KC
Outstanding matchup for the Chargers offense this week, and as long as rookie Ryan Matthews doesn't go too nuts running the ball all over the Chiefs defense, then Gates should be a good bet to tally 100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

2. Dallas Clark - Ind = @Hou
There is little doubt that the Colts will score a bunch of points this week, and Clark is a safe bet to be highly involved in the passing game. Numbers around 75-100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown is realistic to expect.

3. Jermichael Finley - GB = @Phi
With a decent Eagles secondary covering Greg Jennings and Donald Driver, Finley could very easily be Aaron Rodgers favorite target in this game. It would not be surprising to see Finley lead the Packers in receptions and receiving yards this week. 75-100 receiving yards is likely, and a touchdown is definitely possible as well.

4. Vernon Davis - SF = @Sea
Solid matchup for the 49ers offense should allow Davis to lead the way for the passing attack this week. 75-100 receiving yards and a touchdown is possible.

5. Jason Witten - Dal = @Was
As usual, Witten is a safe start in all fantasy football leagues this week as he should tally numbers in the 50-100 receiving yard range. Touchdowns were hard to come by for Witten last season, so while that trend may continue this week, you can still start him and be sure you will get at least 50 receiving yards and 5 fantasy points out of him.

6. Brent Celek - Phi = GB
After developing an excellent connection with Kevin Kolb last season, Celek could easily transition into the Eagles leading receiver in this game. 50-100 receiving yards is likely and a touchdown is possible as well.

7. Kellen Winslow - TB = Cle
Excellent matchup for Winslow, however quarterback concerns cloud his overall stat potential for this week. Yet I think whether Josh Freeman or Josh Johnson starts, it really does not matter as both have shown to be about the same type of quarterback for Winslow and his looks. 50-75 receiving yards is a safe bet, and if all goes well a touchdown could be in store as well.

8. Greg Olsen - Chi = Det
While others are still ticked off at Olsen for his under performing season last year, I am one of the few who are extremely high on Olsen entering this season. A matchup against the lowly Lions defense should kick start Olsen's breakout season this week. Overall, I am high on the radar with Olsen this week, as I think he clearly has 50-100 receiving yard and 1 touchdown potential in him for this game.

9. Zach Miller - Oak = @Ten
Wow the fantasy football tight end depth is crazy to start the season this year, as Miller could easily tally 50-100 receiving yards this week and yet I would rather start several other TEs over him. All in all, a solid matchup for Miller as he should be the primary passing target once again for the Raiders this season.

10. Tony Gonzalez - Atl = @Pit
Tough matchup for the Falcons offense, but it could actually mean more dump off and quick looks to Gonzalez in the passing game this week. 50-75 receiving yards is likely, but a touchdown will likely be hard to tally.
