Week 10 College Football Outlook

Andre Asbury
This week, Alabama - LSU is by far the biggest game. Both teams are well-placed to make it to the National Championship game by winning their final 5 games. If either team wins their final 4 regular season games, they would play in the SEC championship game against Florida. The Alabama offense has struggle a bit lately and both Bama and LSU have eeked by with some very narrow victories but they will be in Tuscaloosa this Saturday to keep their championship hopes alive.

A little surprisingly, College Gameday will be at the Army - Air Force game instead of in Tuscaloosa. I don't have any thoughts on that game between 2 branches of our military.

I the rankings, I am still surprised that voters are keeping Iowa so low. A 9-0 Big Ten team is #8 in the AP poll? Wow. According to my computer rankings, they are #3 and they have the 34th toughest schedule in FBS. I would have thought their SS rank would be near the middle because Penn State is the only ranked team they've played. Yes, they have had several close games and needed several 4th quarter comebacks but everyone has close games - even Florida has had their share of scares - but good teams find a way to win. Has the Big Ten lost that much respect from the voters or do they have to see Iowa beat Ohio State before they put them up to #3, where I think they should be, right behind Florida and Texas.

So, here are my computer predictions for this week's top 25 games, along with the official odds.
