Predictions for Week 10 of the 2010 NFL Season

My week 10 NFL picks are suitable for your office football pool as I don't do point spreads. So my week 10 NFL betting advice is for the football pools and you may even do better picking the opposite of me. I went 7-5 last week not counting the Monday Night Game. That brings my 2010 NFL season game picks record to 74 and 52. For your week 10 football office pool picks, read on.

Thursday Game

Baltimore at Atlanta

Two of the top young quarterbacks will battle it out when Joe Flacco visits Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have a very balanced offense with Ryan, Michael Turner and Roddy White. Their defense is stout against the run but not so great against the pass. Still the Falcons defense ranks 10th in the NFL in points allowed. Baltimore also is fairly balanced but run better than they pass. Baltimore's defense is solid but I think Ryan and White can burn that secondary. My week 10 NFL game prediction is the Falcons win at home, 17 to 10 over the Ravens.

Sunday Games

Detroit at Buffalo

Two bad teams battle it out as the Lions visit the Bills in week 10. Detroit plays hard but their defense is suspect and Matthew Stafford has injured his shoulder again and probably won't play. Buffalo is decent on offense but their defense sucks. Still I like Buffalo to get their first win of 2010. Buffalo beats Detroit 24 to 14. This pick is subject to change if Stafford plays.

Cincinnati at Indianapolis

The Bengals come to visit the Colts who lost a close one to the Eagles. Cincinnati is capable of beating anyone but the Colts will be hungry for a win. Despite all their injuries the Colts win 28 to 24.

New York Jets at Cleveland

Last week the Browns dog stomped the Patriots and Coach Eric Mangini gets a shot at another former team in the Jets. The Browns play good teams hard and often beat them. The Jets tend to play down to the level of their competition. Peyton Hillis had a career game when he ran for over 180 yards against the Patriots last week. My week 10 football prediction is the Browns can't stop the Jets passing game. Jets win 17 to 10.

Houston at Jacksonville

Few teams are as inconstant as the Texans and Jaguars. This is a hard week 10 NFL prediction to make but I like the Texans offense against the Jaguars poor defense. Houston wins 27 to 17.

Minnesota at Chicago

The Vikings struggled to beat a bad Arizona team last week as the Bears had the same experience with the Bills. The Bears bad offense won't score much on the Vikings and I think Favre may be on a roll now. Minnesota wins 14 to 10.

Tennessee at Miami

The Titans debut Randy Moss as a replacement for the injured Kenny Britt. Still the Titans have the 26th ranked passing attack in the NFL so Moss may not make a difference there. He will make a difference in clearing out the box for Chris Johnson. Miami is overrated and are bad at home. Titans win 21 to 17.

Carolina at Tampa Bay

The Panthers have a good defense but possibly the worst offense in the history of the NFL, plus have injuries on that bad offense to boot. Tampa plays hard and does not give up in games. Tampa wins 17 to 3 over the Panthers.

Kansas City at Denver

The Chiefs can't pass or stop the pass and Denver can't run or stop the run. In a pass happy league that gives Denver the slight advantage. My week 10 football office pool pick is the Broncos beat my Chiefs 21 to 17.

St. Louis at San Francisco

The Rams are playing solid football and improving. San Francisco imploded early in the season and seems to be playing out the string and waiting for the season to end. Rams knock off the 49ers 24 to 21.

Dallas at the Giants

I really, really want to pick the Cowboys in one of those wacky division rival upsets. But I won't do it, the Giants are the best team in the NFC right now. Giants win 28 to 10.

Seattle at Arizona

Both teams suck but Arizona is still playing hard but I am not so sure Seattle is. The Seahawks also struggle on the road. Arizona wins 21 to 14.

New England at Pittsburgh

The Patriots were spanked by the Browns and their rushing defense was exposed. The Patriots also miss Randy Moss's ability to clear the field out for Wes Welker. Pittsburgh's physical brand of football will be a little much for the Patriots. Pittsburgh wins 24 to 21.

Monday Game

Philadelphia at Washington

The Eagles got Michael Vick back in a big way in their victory over the Colts. Donovan McNabb is feuding with Coach Mike Shanahan. The Eagles offense is too much for the Redskins and Philly wins 28 to 17.

I like most of your picks, still alive in our family suicide pool!

    Very thorough!

Wow we have a lot of different games this week. Could be sinking or swimming at the top/bottom after this week

Nah, nah, na-nah, nah! Sorry for gloating about the Brown's win...I hope it happens again. Although you haven't predicted them to win one game yet this season....oh wait, I think you might have predicted them to win the first game against Tampa Bay? I hope you're right on all your predictions but the Browns-Jets game:)

For the first time in a while, I feel like we have some drastically different picks for this week. That'll be good for the competition, though. And watch out for that Houston/Jacksonville game. David Garrard has been almost unstoppable when playing against lower tier pass defenses, and Houston's pass defense is absolutely awful.

Right on top of things Randy!
