Week 11 NFL Picks-Free NFL Picks on AC

10-4 in Week 10

Michael Grisso
Here we go! Another NFL picks week that left me a whoppin' 10-4 thanks to back-to-back losses on Sunday Night and Monday Night Football. Nothing like watching the team you're rooting for have the ball in the final minutes and either don't know how to run clock or decide to run the ball on 4th and 2. Then of course the best NFL picks of the week went to the Rex Grossman Bears and the Daunte Culpepper Lions. Nice right?

Oddly enough there were some good picks out of it like Minnesota coming back and pulling one out riding the coat tails of Adrien Peterson. Then of course the New England Patriots making the Bills look like the St. Louis Rams. Regardless it's a new week of NFL picks and I'm ready to improve on that 10-4 record. There's some interesting matchups this week, but at first glance people might be better off taking all the home teams. We'll see, so let's get started.

New England vs. NY Jets (N.E. -3)(42)

Well, what do you tell a team that was supposed to fall apart, lost Adalius Thomas for the year and has some guy with four names as their running back? I say great job, and why stop now. The Pats have been sick at home and unless Favre can keep from getting ansy and throwing interceptions I don't imagine this game is going to be any different. Favre will probably throw at least 2 INTs and the Pats will capitalize.

New England 23 NY Jets 13

Atlanta vs. Denver (ATL -6)(51)

Probably one of the most entertaining games of the week regarding these nfl picks is the Falcons against the Broncos. As interesting as this game is, Atlanta is playing some of the best football in the league right now. The only time they've faltered is on the road and their home wins are by a margin of 13 points per game. Granted two of those games were against K.C. and Detroit, but still.

The Broncos have completely gone away from what they've built their team around and that's the running game. However, this was due to the injury of Ryan Torrain in the preseason and the lackluster performances from Selvin Young, Andre Hall, and Michael Pittman. The defense is still horrible and while I want to take Atlanta due to the defense I'm going to go for the upset here. Definitely nfl picks with a little homer added in there, but whatever.

Denver 38 Atlanta 35

Miami vs. Oakland (Miami -10.5)(38.5)

Snoozer game here if you ask me. Oakland is pitiful, Miami is up and down, and if there is any of these nfl picks I don't want to watch this week it's this game. So why waste time writing about something I just don't want to write about.

Miami 24 Oakland 13

NY Giants vs. Baltimore (NY -6.5)(42)

It will be interesting to see how the Ravens defend the Giants offense. Will they contain the run and hope Manning makes mistakes? Will they let Earth, Wind, and Fire get their yards but control the total yardage? Well, we already know they can't control the passing game (see games against Cleveland, Houston, and Indy). The Giants should and will expose the secondary problems leaving the Ravens tarred and feathered (how corny is that line)!

NY Giants 34 Baltimore 14

Indianapolis vs. Houston (Indy -8.5)(50.5)

Wow, what a difference a week makes after the Colts beat the Steelers. An amazingly bolstered line leads me to believe Vegas thinks Indy is back. NFL picks like this are funny considering the Texans should of beat them the first time around. Then again, Houston cannot win on the road (0-4). Make that 0-5.

Indianapolis 37 Houston 24

Jacksonville vs. Tennessee (Ten -3)(39.5)

Undefeated? The Titans are really getting after it and probably the oddest team to be undefeated at this stage of the year I think I've ever seen. This team reminds me of the Trent Dilfer led Baltimore Ravens when they met the NY Giants in the Super Bowl way back when. While the Jags kept this game close at the beginning of the year, my nfl picks award has to go to Tennessee. I picked against them last week and look what happen. Maybe if I pick them, they'll lose.

Tennessee 16 Jacksonville 7

Cincinnati vs. Philadelphia (Phi -9)(42)

Uh oh, the Bengals are coming off a bye and playing at home. You know what that means right? Yep, they're still going to lose. To be honest they might as well at this point and start looking at next year's draft. NFL picks like this shouldn't even be allowed. Here in Cincy fans purchased a billboard (4 total) and there's a site you can donate $18 for each year Mike Brown has been their fearless leader. The billboard reads, "Dear Bengals, hire a general manager. Love, your fans." All I can say is it's about time.

Philadelphia 35 Cincinnati 17

Kansas City vs. New Orleans (N.O. -5.5)(49.5)

I actually love this game this week. New Orleans is back to their Aints ways and Kansas City, well Jamaal Charles is quickly sending Larry Johnson and the rest of the running back squad packing. Thigpen is showing signs of a serviceable QB, and New Orleans defense isn't that good. I smell something....upset? I was trying to spell out the sniffing sound, but it didn't go so well.

Kansas City 29 New Orleans 24

Carolina vs. Detroit (Car -14)(40)

The poor poor Lions. Listen, last week's nfl picks could have been a lot better then 10-4 just by picking the normal winners and losers. Who expected Culpepper to get signed on Tuesday after being out, not really even taking many snaps, and he's your best choice for QB on Sunday? Ouch, speaks volumes. Either Stanton and Orlovsky are absolute garbage or the front office is a bunch of idiots. Something has got to give.

Carolina 35 Detroit 14

Tampa Bay vs. Minnesota (T.B. -4)(38.5)

Well, last week I really thought the Vikings game was going to get away from me after the 10 minute span in the third quarter. However, things worked out well, but I won't be picking them this week. The Bucs were off and play at home and you know what happens most of the time in those games. The home team wins. It might be close but expect much of the same here.

Tampa Bay 16 Minnesota 10

San Francisco vs. St. Louis (S.F. -6.5)(43.5)

Hey, I've been saying all along that Hill should be the quarterback in San Fran. They should have one the Monday Night game in the waning moments but instead have no idea who or what runs the clock it seems. Oh well, with Steven Jackson hurt once again and uncertain about Sunday, the Niners should be able to give the Rams a strong dose of Frank Gore and be fine.

San Francisco 34 St. Louis 20

Seattle vs. Arizona (Ari -3)(47.5)

Anyone want to tell me why Arizona is only favored by 3? Anyone, anyone? Bueller? Oh, I know. Arizona has a short week. Uhm, does it matter? The Hawks are 1-3 at home this year and that lone win was against the Rams. They lost by 19 to Philadelphia, 10 to Green Bay, and now they're going to lose by 20 against Arizona. Any questions?

Arizona 40 Seattle 20

Pittsburgh vs. San Diego (Pit -5)(42)

Well, new defensive coordinator, same song and dance. I really would have liked to see K.C. go for the tie and see what happens in overtime. The Chargers were lucky, plain and simple. Although that P.I. call at the end of the game on Hart to put the ball at the one was bogus. Where's Ed Hochuli when you need him! Anyways, I've spun this game every which way and with San Diego playing bad first halves this year I don't see how they win this game. I've picked them every game this year to win and watch, I won't and they will.

Pittsburgh 31 San Diego 24

Washington vs. Dallas (Dal -1.5)(43)

Back-to-back NFC East Sunday night games? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Show us something else already. Oh well, Romo is back so at least it will be a little more entertaining. I don't even like this game because Washington seems to have the Cowboys number the last couple years or play them close most of the time. Good news is T.O. will be happy. Yay!!!! I'll take the Boyz just because Tony is on like 35 of my 40 fantasy teams.

Dallas 20 Washington 17

Buffalo vs. Cleveland (Buf -5.5)(42.5)

Oh boy, my two favorite teams on Monday Night. I've been bashing both of them all year and now that they play each other what do I do? I'm pretty sure Cleveland will upset the Bills only because I love seeing them lose. Yes, make picks with your head not your heart, but who cares. This is all for fun anyways this time around. Quinn will turn out much better then your boy Trent Edwards. Yep, talkin' to you Bills fan.

Cleveland 31 Buffalo 23

Alright, let's see what happens. For those of you who have ventured over to the Best NFL Picks Free website I've been slacking. Been too busy doing everything else. However, you can still look at matchups, updated odds and standings in the meantime. Good luck this week. I'll have my four favorites in the weekly newsletter coming out tomorrow.

Last Week: 10-4

Season: 85-59

ATS LW: 9-5

Season: 73-70-1
