Week 11 QB Rankings will be updated throughout the week.
Week 11 --- QB Rankings --- RB Rankings --- WR Rankings --- TE Rankings --- Defense Rankings --- Waiver Wire Pickups --- Picks & Predictions --- Player Injury Updates
1. Aaron Rodgers - GB = TB ----- Rodgers is having the type of fantasy season that Tom Brady had back in 2007 during his record setting 50 touchdown pass campaign. A matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that allows the 5th most passing yards per game so far this season, should definitely have Rodgers eying another 300 passing yards and 3 touchdowns this week.
2. Tom Brady - NE = KC ----- As usual, Brady proved his doubters wrong in last weeks game as he picked apart what had been a red hot New York Jets defense. A matchup against a much weaker Kansas City defense should be no match for Brady and company this week. 300 passing yards and 2-3 touchdowns is easily within reach.
3. Tony Romo - Dal = @Was ----- Busting out with an excellent game last week, Romo faces another nice matchup this week against a so-so Washington Redskins defense. The emergence of DeMarco Murray in the running game has definitely opened up some passing lanes for Romo in opposing secondaries. And the emergence of Laurent Robinson definitely has helped as well. 250-300 passing yards and 1-2 touchdowns.
4. Cam Newton - Car = @Det ----- A tough game last week for the rookie, Newton will have a chance to rebound this week as he faces a susceptible Detroit Lions secondary. That is assuming that the Panthers offensive line can give Newton some time to throw the ball. But if anything, rushing yards are always in the mix as well.
5. Matt Ryan - Atl = Ten ----- If Roddy White and Julio Jones were completely healthy, Matt Ryan might be unstoppable right now. However Ryan is trudging along and has actually put up better numbers in recent weeks than you would expect with a struggling Roddy White nowhere to be found in the passing game.
6. Eli Manning - NYG = Phi ----- Not an ideal matchup for Eli and the Giants passing offense, but the Eagles defense has struggled, and after giving up plenty of yards and points to John Skelton in last weeks game, the Eagles could be in for a long day against Eli and company this week.
7. Michael Vick - Phi = @NYG ----- injury ? broken ribs - OUT WILL NOT PLAY ----- We all knew it would only be a matter of time before Vick would be in jeopardy of missing games with injury. And as we could have predicted, it would only make sense that he suffers some broken ribs when the home stretch of the fantasy football season is in the works.
8. Matthew Stafford - Det = Car ----- injury ? broken finger ----- Even with the broken finger it looks like Stafford will continue to play. A matchup against a much weaker Carolina Panthers defense this week than what he faced last week in Chicago, should have Stafford eying a solid comeback game this week.
9. Philip Rivers - SD = @Chi ----- If anything, this matchup should provide another plethora of passing attempts for Rivers in this game. Expect 300 passing yards, 1-2 touchdowns, but also 2 interceptions are possible as well.
10. Joe Flacco - Bal = Cin ----- Not really sure what to expect from Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens offense right now, but luckily for the Ravens passing attack this week, they will face a much weaker Cincinnati Bengals defense as their best defensive back Leon Hall is now out for the season.
11. Ryan Fitzpatrick - Buf = @Mia ----- Solid matchup for Fitzpatrick and the Bills passing attack, but he just hasn't had all that early season magic on his side in recent weeks.
12. Carson Palmer - Oak = @Min ----- 37% --- After just 3 games in his new Oakland Raiders uniform, Palmer is showing signs of once again becoming a solid QB1 matchup play starter in 10 team leagues. This weeks game against a vulnerable Vikings secondary could easily lead Palmer to stats in the range of 250 passing yards and 1-2 touchdowns. Add in upcoming matchups against the Dolphins, Packers, and Chiefs secondaries, and at just 37% owned in 10 team leagues, Palmer is definitely worth picking up this week and starting, as well as stashing for future games.
13. Jay Cutler - Chi = SD ----- With the way that the San Diego Chargers defense has been playing lately, it would not surprise me if Culter went off for 300 passing yards and 2 touchdowns in this game.
14. Mark Sanchez - NYJ = @Den ----- Solid matchup for the Jets offense, but Sanchez just does not offer much passing stat upside for fantasy football scoring purposes.
15. Tim Tebow - Den = NYJ ----- 60% --- Nothing like having an extra RB starting in your QB spot in your fantasy football lineup. With 47 rushing attempts for 321 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns in his last 5 games, Tebow is always a threat to post excellent numbers for fantasy football teams. A matchup against an excellent Jets pass defense could easily have the Broncos offense calling 50 plus running plays again this week.
16. Josh Freeman - TB = @GB ----- Freeman has been bad this season, and a matchup against the turnover forcing Green Bay Packers defense at Lambeau just does not look good for the young Tampa Bay signal caller this week. Yet even at that, the Packers defense does allow a good amount of passing yards per game.
17. Matt Hasselbeck - Ten = @Atl ----- If you need a deep spot starting QB this week, give Hasselbeck the call.
18. Sam Bradford - StL = Sea ----- 28% --- Bradford has definitely shown plenty of rust over the last two weeks as he comes back from injury, but with a healthy Steven Jackson in the lineup forcing defenses to pay attention to the running game, and a reliable Brandon Lloyd in the receiving game, Bradford has a nice matchup this week against an injury riddled Seahawks secondary to take advantage and finally put up some solid passing stats.
19. Alex Smith - SF = Ari ----- 30% --- Perhaps the Trent Dilfer of this era? Smith is the 49ers starting quarterback if only just to not make dumb passes or turn the ball over. A matchup against a very Arizona pass defense, at least stastically, could allow Smith to once again play no turnover ball, while tallying numbers in the range of 200 passing yards and 1 touchdown, and maybe 2 touchdowns if Frank Gore is limited or out and the offense passes a bit more in this game.
20. Matt Moore - Mia = Buf ----- 5% --- Forming a connection with Brandon Marshall, and benefiting from an emerging Reggie Bush, Matt Moore faces a weak Buffalo Bills pass defense that could allow Moore to tally numbers in the range of 250 passing yards and 1-2 touchdowns.21. Tarvaris Jackson - Sea = @StL ----- 8% --- Another solid spot starting QB for fantasy teams that are without Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, or Matt Schaub this week. Plenty of upside this week with Jackson who will be facing a very susceptible Rams defense that gives up their share of touchdowns.
22. Christian Ponder - Min = Oak ----- 15% --- A rookie just doing his thing. Ponder is worth a spot start this week in deeper leagues where teams who may have had Drew Brees or Ben Roethlisberger are on byes and need a replacement.
23. Vince Young - Phi = @NYG
24. Rex Grossman - Was = Dal
25. Colt McCoy - Cle = Jac
26. Andy Dalton - Cin = @Bal
27. John Skelton - Ari = @SF
28. Tyler Palko - KC = @NE29. Blaine Gabbert - Jac = @Cle
30. Kevin Kolb - Ari = @SF ----- injury ? unlikely to play
31. John Beck - Was = Dal
32. Matt Cassel - KC = @NE ----- injury ? shoulder, hand - out - will not play
.
BYE WEEK
Drew Brees - NO = bye
Ben Roethlisberger - Pit = bye
Matt Schaub - Hou = bye
Curtis Painter - Ind = bye
