Week 13 NFL Picks and Predictions - Red Hot Two Week Period Going 22-9!

Heading into week 13, the NFL playoffs are looming large in the near future. Many teams are jockeying for position and others are trying to make sure they even get in. This also means that those teams that are out of contention are going into spoiler mode. This sets the table for a very volatile time for pigskin prognostication. It is very easy to miss a potential upset this time of year.

The past two NFL weeks we have gone 22-9 and are making some serious headway in your office pools if you have been following along. Expect a solid week 13 of picks this week as well.

THU, DEC 2

Houston at Philadelphia
The Texans are came up big with a huge win over the Titans in week 12, but they run into the buzz saw that is the Michael Vick show in week 13. Vick and the Eagles will be ready in Philly.

Washington at NY Giants
The Redskins are no pushover, and in particular against the Giants. Whatever the records are going in, you can throw them out the window. Still, the Giants are going to roll on them with a end of season push.

Denver at Kansas City
The Broncos are looking like they might just be heading towards a stormy off season while the Chiefs Matt Cassell is in the middle of a serious hot streak. Say goodnight Denver.

Jacksonville at Tennessee
The Jaguars and the Titans might be a match up that surprises some folks. The Jaguars are the logical pick based on recent trends and the uncertainty at the quarterback position. The Titans may surprise them at home however. This one is going to go to the Jaguars though and they may be looking at the playoffs.

San Francisco at Green Bay
The Niners are feeling pretty good about things lately. They won their game against Arizona on Monday night and suddenly find themselves within striking distance in the weak NFC West. If St. Louis slips or Seattle continues their slide, the Niners are right back in it. This is a bad week to draw the Packers at home, however.

NFL Week 13 Winner - Green Bay Packers

Cleveland at Miami
The Browns just do not seem to know what type of team they are. They won a close one against the Panthers last week, but you can not really say they deserved it. Carolina should have won that game the way the Browns were playing. Now they face Miami, who has a similar problem this season. The Dolphins are going to win for one reason only...home field advantage.

Buffalo at Minnesota
You can no longer overlook the Buffalo Bills. This team knows how to score points. The Vikings have struggled to score this season and that could be a recipe for disaster. I think that the Vikings will hold their home field, but this team still has some major problems going forward.

Chicago at Detroit
This game has all the earmarks of an upset. Chicago is riding high on a nice winning streak, having just beaten a very tough Philadelphia Eagles team. They could easily look past the Lions to a huge match up in week 14 against the Patriots. They have an offense that can have clunker games on occasion, and interceptions can come in bunches with these guys. Add to all of that the improvement of the Lions, and the emotion they are sure to play with at home, and you have the makings of an upset. You read it here first, folks.

New Orleans at Cincinnati
The Saints are finally starting to roll a bit, and they have no room for error. The Falcons are threatening to run away with the South. I expect New Orleans to travel to Cincinnati and create a ton of turnovers in a week 13 victory.

Oakland at San Diego
The Oakland Raiders had a chance to make a statement last week against the Dolphins, and they simply laid an egg. Now they take on one of the hottest teams in football in San Diego. There is no reason that they should win this game.

Carolina at Seattle
The Panthers have a decent enough chance of winning this game, as they have been knocking on the door the last couple of weeks. Still, they find a way to lose. Seattle is doing their best Panther imitation, however, so the game is far from a gimme. I think that Seattle will handle their business this week, however, as they realize that they must to keep pace in the West.

Atlanta at Tampa Bay
This is yet another chance for the Bucs to cement their place as a contender in the South, and they are certainly capable of doing it in Tampa. I think this is the week that Josh Freeman and the Bucs step out and beat a top tier football team. Atlanta is due a clunker, and this is going to be the one.

St. Louis at Arizona
St. Louis is going up and the Cardinals are going down. Nuff said.

Dallas at Indianapolis
This is yet another match up that could be pivotal for Indy, as it seems all of them have been recently. You have to look for a long time to find a season where the Colts have struggled like this for wins. Dallas is much improved since Garrett took over, but the Colts are desperate and have much more to play for.

Pittsburgh at Baltimore
One of two heavyweight matchups this week, the Ravens are going to host the Steelers in what many feel could be a playoff preview. I think that the Ravens are the better team, but the Steelers seem to have some kind of mojo on them. The mojo continues.

NY Jets at New England
This is the second heavyweight match up and it is going to be ugly. These two teams hate one another, and they are both highly talented. I think that Brady and company will show the Jets what it is like to win in December at home, and the Jets will be a better team in the playoffs because of it. They are still learning and will be a bit shaky in the beginning. This is why I say the Pats will win it. A slow start will do in the Jets.
