Week 17 NFL Game Predictions

Office Football Pool Picks for Week 17

Randy Inman
Thanks for checking out my week 17 NFL game predictions for the 2010 season. I have been doing free NFL game picks with no point spreads all year, click here to see my record and that of other AC writers. Since my week 17 NFL game picks have no point spreads, they are suitable for your week 17 office football pool. Check back next week for 2010 NFL first round playoff predictions.

These free week 17 NFL game picks are a little tricky. Some teams will be resting starters and some will be playing young players to see what they have for 2011. I will do my best to provide accurate week 17 NFL game predictions, thanks for reading them.

NFL Game Picks for Sunday January 2, 2010

Miami at New England

The Patriots tend to play their starters when they have their playoff picture wrapped up. Miami plays better on the road than at home and coaches and players are playing for jobs next year. Still the Patriots are too good and will win 24 to 17.

Tampa at New Orleans

Real simple if New Orleans lost to the Falcons on Monday Night (this was written Monday Morning) they have to and will beat the Bucs, 27 to 17. If New Orleans beat Atlanta then they will probably rest their starters and the Bucs win 20 to 10.

Carolina at Atlanta

No matter if Atlanta needs this win or rests their starters, the lowly Panthers won't score much. Atlanta beats Carolina 20 to 7 in week 17.

Minnesota at Detroit

This game is for pride and the Lions have more than the Vikings do. Detroit wins 24 to 17.

Oakland at Kansas City

The Chiefs coaching staff is heavily influenced by their Patriot roots so I expect them to try to win the game. Kansas City ends Oakland's decent season with a 20 to 17 win.

Pittsburgh at Cleveland

This week 17 NFL matchup may be a very good game. The Steelers are playing to improve their playoff position and the Browns are playing to try to keep the Steelers in a worse spot. Cleveland always plays division opponents well and I think they knock off the Steelers 17 to 14.

Buffalo at New York Jets

The Bills have nothing to win but are trying to show improvement. The Jets are unlikely to play all their starters. My week 17 NFL game prediction is the Bills beat the Jets 24 to 10.

Cincinnati at Baltimore

This game is important if the Steelers lose to the Browns but not otherwise for the Ravens. The Bengals showed a spark last week but it won't last. Baltimore wins 21 to 14.

Jacksonville at Houston

The Jags can win their division with a Colts loss and Jacksonville win here. Houston is playing out the string and waiting to see who their coach will be next year. Jacksonville wins 21 to 17.

Dallas at Philadelphia

The Eagles won the NFC East but are playing for a possible bye in the playoffs. Dallas has been playing better but still dropped one they shouldn't have to the Cardinals. Philly will toast that Dallas pass defense in a 35 to 21 win.

New York Giants at Washington

If the Giants win and the Packers lose then New York is in the playoffs. I believe unless the Giants get in and win at least one playoff game, then they will be coach shopping next season. The Redskins showed some life last week and are playing for jobs next season, if there is a next season. Giants continue their melt down and lose 17 to 14.

San Diego at Denver

The Broncos continue to ride the Tebo Express and the Chargers continue to try to get their coach and general manager fired. Denver wins 17 to 14.

Arizona at San Francisco

The Cardinals are flying high after beating Dallas. The 49ers are flying low after Mike Singletary was fired. I think this sparks the 49ers though and my week 17 NFL prediction is San Francisco 24, Arizona 21.

Chicago at Green Bay

This game is more important to the Packers than the Bears and I usually like the home team. Green Bay wins 20 to 17.

Tennessee at Indianapolis

The Colts are used to resting their starters in week 17, not fighting to get in the playoffs. The Titans would love to break one off in the Colts and will be playing hard. Still I like the Colts at home to win 21 to 14.

St. Louis at Seattle

The Seahawks don't suck as bad at home and will make the playoffs if they win. If the Rams win then they make the playoffs. I like the Rams to win 17 to 14.

Yeah, I agree with you on a Cleveland victory. Besides, the Steelers seed isn't going to change win or lose.
